Easy check-in, friendly staff member on the bar when I arrived and left. Clean room and pleasant shower facilities

Cons:

Friends that stayed at the hotel over the same weekend reported issues of finding their rooms unlocked/doors left open by cleaning staff when they returned after days out. With recent security issues at other chain hotels, I expect this to be taken seriously.

Pros:

Immediate car park behind really confusing as no car park apps were working. Have emailed as concerned will get ticket. This coukd definitely put us off staying there again. Idea! Why not form a link with the car park and offer guests free parking or a nominal nightly fee or pass to display

Pleasant stay in the centre of an historic city
Pros:

Checking in was very efficient and I was pleased to find I had a ground floor room in a nice courtyard to the rear of the property. Room and small bathroom both well appointed. Facilities included a microwave but not something i wanted to use.

Cons:

Choice of TV programmes was a bit limited but not a serious issue for me. Unfortunately I had a medical problem that had been coming on for several days and I decided to return home a day early to sort this out, which was very disappointing as I rather like Gloucester!

Great hotel but our room was in a very bad location and so we didn't sleep well during our stay.
Pros:

The staff were really lovely, helpful, professional and friendly. The room was clean, and the hotel’s location was great. The facilities were good, and it was useful to have a kettle and a refrigerator in the room.

Cons:

The location of the room was not ideal, as it was on a busy street and there was a lot of noise at night. We were unable to close the windows because the weather was too warm, and there was no air conditioning. There was a fan in the room but didn't make any difference.

It was clean and tidy , I had the back single room that ment I didn’t get to here noise from street. Bathroom was clean as was the room. Bar down stairs very tidy as well.

Cons:

Room was very small , reception was always closed you had to speak to someone in the bar.
