A step above the rest in old Auckland town
Pros:

The valet was very quick to assist with our bags and take the car. The check in experience was swift, informative and with a smile, well done to the staff. The room was spacious and comfortable, with ample recessed lighting. WiFi is good and the only issue was too much noise from the street (4th floor) so I'm not sure how sound proof those windows are. Room service was excellent and the Wagu burger is a must. Pool was not as warm as we hoped, but the facilities and the sauna was quite nice. The spa was out of action for cleaning though. Location is great and Queen Street is just around the corner.

The standout was the breakfast at Trivet. Please ensure you add this to your booking as it has so far been the best breakfast experience in my travels around the world. The Pullman and the Hilton in the North Island were certainly worth a mention, but the Marriott was next level and you will not be left wanting. The eggs were the best I have ever had and my compliments to the chef(s) and the staff. Well done.

Cons:

Bit of noise through those windows and the spa was out of action. Although I would rather it be unavailable for cleaning, than not operational at all.

Don’t think I’ll come back for the price we paid it wasn’t worth it.
Pros:

The breakfast was good even though the pastries were stale, the omelette was really good.

Cons:

So much dust under the furniture in the room. TV in both rooms we were put in didn’t work. People in and out of our rooms to fix tv but they didn’t know what they were doing so would send someone else. We were compensated with some stale cakes and a strawberry for it. The valet parking was to expensive, we had 2 vehicles a car and a motorbike and were charged $70 per vehicle per night.

Cons:

The TV service wasn't as good as I expected. The range of channels was pretty basic and our sport channel just had a frozen screen for our entire stay (I reported this to the front desk but it didn't get fixed). Also the response speed of the streaming seemed slow. I recently stayed at a Novotel location where the TV service was considerably better

was a great stay. we particularly liked the convenient access to the city centre and options of great restaurants.
Pros:

clean, spacious and comfortable. 24hour room service and free filtered water serving. The amenities are well-stocked.

Cons:

check in staff could explain a bit more about the facility and payment.
