This Hyatt is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at it. It checks all the boxes.
1) location overlooking Lady Bird Lake and the Congress Ave. Bridge. Scenic walking path and sunset bat viewing.
2) fabulous mattress and pillows (and I’m a bit of a pillow snob.)
3) luxurious breakfast buffet. My first reaction was that $35 was steep, but this wasn’t just any breakfast. It was an experience. Where else are you going to get self serve honey from a bee comb?
4) top notch customer service. We had brought a Roku remote to watch NBA playoffs but batteries didn’t work. Hyatt staff found two AAA batteries for us - no charge- even though we are Timberwolves fans and were cheering against the San Antonio Spurs.
So if you ever have a chance to stay at this hotel, take it.
Spent Mother's Day here, great experience ❤️ Will definitely be back. Room service breakfast is a must! And the pool is fabulous
Was there for son's graduation ceremony. It has been great stay. Got a room with balcony with lakeside view. Feels like you are staying in a resort with the lake trail at your doorstep
Very inviting and clean hotel. Customer service was top notch. Get the rooms with the lake view also has a great skyline view of the city.
The Hyatt Regency in Austin is a great hotel. The staff are friendly, kind, and professional. The location is ideal and centrally located within downtown Austin. This is the third time we stayed at this hotel, and it never disappoints. It's also located right on the river, and the outdoor dining area is perfect for relaxing with a happy hour drink.
Hotel is in a great location. I would recommend upgrading your room to lake view, which also has a view of downtown Austin.
Don't stay on the lake side of the hotel or you will hear the cars and motorcycles going over the Congress bridge until 3-4am in the morning. Was disappointed that the noise was bad - we had a balcony room so options were limited on balcony units.
Still the Best Austin hotel location. Sitting on Lady bird lake, facing a panoramic view of the entire downtown Austin. This Hyatt Regency is for the active traveler who enjoys the outdoor indulgence of life. Make sure to bring your exercise clothes to have a morning walk on the trail in front of the entire city! Upon returning, get a work-out at the gym then sit by the pool in one of their new cabana's!
Parking fees for this hotel are absurd. It cost $68 to park my rental car for one night. The facility itself was as you would expect for a Hyatt Hotel and the location was right on the path around the lake.
The Hyatt did a great job with their extensive remodeling. Lovely lobby, restaurant and bar area. The pool is also much nicer, although it’s small. Great vibe!
average and nothing special. Food is subpar and the location is decent but not many good food options in walking distance
I can't remember the last time I had such good customer service. truly exceptional staff. their attention to our needs was admirable.
We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency. Really nice property on the river and exceptional service l. The hotel was very well maintained, and the pool area overlooking the river was cool
I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Austin while attending the ALCA conference, and the experience exceeded every expectation.
From the moment I arrived, the service was truly impeccable. The staff consistently demonstrated a perfect balance of professionalism and genuine kindness—always prompt, attentive, and ready to assist without hesitation.
My room was nothing short of spectacular. The view overlooking the Congress Avenue Bridge and the Austin skyline was absolutely stunning, especially in the evening. It added a special touch to an already exceptional stay.
The room itself was spotless, quiet, and incredibly comfortable. The bed provided a great night’s sleep, and I appreciated the thoughtful details—plenty of fresh towels, a fully functioning refrigerator, and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after long conference days.
Overall, this was an outstanding stay. Whether traveling for business or leisure, I would highly recommend this property. I’ll absolutely be returning on my next visit to Austin.
The hotel is beautiful and nicely located. The cost of the drinks is quite high, the breakfast buffet lacked flavor, but the restaurant was very good. The price of the parking for hotel guest is excessive, especially for Hyatt members. 54.00 a night!! Park elsewhere!
We had a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The views of the downtown skyline were absolutely amazing, especially from the room and common areas. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the food and amenities were excellent. Overall, a very pleasant stay that I’d definitely recommend.
The staff in the grocery market were very kind.
It’s lackluster. It lacks elegance and sophistication that is associated with the hotels name. The staff was disinterested. The room was basic and it was the same as my stay at the Courtyard Marriott. The HR was $520. The CM was $100. I’d never recommend the Hyatt Regency.
I spent 4 days at the hotel. Rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Hotel layout was very confusing. Somewhat isolated from major action of downtown.
