My children loved the pool (especially when they came round with free ice cream sandwiches for all the little ones!) and we were impressed with how nice all the staff were. The room had an incredible view over the city and a giant tv with Netflix which made it easy to relax with the kids. There are a lot of hotels in Austin but I’m glad I chose this one.

Great job even the pool staff was overwhelmingly sweet and generous.

Fantastic. Really, my only place to stay while in Austin for work or fun. I've seen the place go through a recent remodel, but one thing has always stayed the same...the staff is incredible.
The location of this hotel was perfect for my family and I. We were close enough to downtown but not in the midst of the chaos of downtown. The rooms were clean and big enough for my family of four. We got a corner room facing the river and downtown and it was perfect! The hotel is a little dated in comparison to the other Hyatt property brands but it exceeded our expectations! We stayed at the Thompson Dallas after this stay and everything at this Hyatt Regency far exceeded everything at the Thompson Dallas. Leo at the front desk was very welcoming and efficient during our check in process. There was a convention happening while we were there but since the hotel is so massive, it did not feel crowded at all. We definitely would stay here again.
The property was great and a short walk to many of the sights and sounds of Austin. The hotel staff was very responsive to requests and the food was great!
We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean, well maintained, and exceeded our expectations. Stephanie and the front desk team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, providing outstanding customer service. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Highly recommended!
There was no line during my check in. But the male front desk staffer made me feel rushed and disconnected, when I asked the morning buffet. I walked away dejected. The drink discount offered by management was insulting.
This amazing hotel, and it’s amazing staff never disappoint! I’ve stayed here many times over the years, and I am always delighted by the attentiveness of the staff and the World class accommodations.
The location was great since it has access to the lake trail and right beside the bat bridge. The rooms look renovated but you would still feel how old it is. The overall stay was ok for what I paid for.
Great views great staff. Perfect stay
The check in was so fast and the staff in the moprnign at the coffee shoppe was awesome
Great hotel! Staff were awesome, rooms were nice and clean. Pool was great with nice views of downtown. Small walk to downtown bars and restaurants.
Location, great gym, comfy beds and pillows
Nothing!
We spent a few days before 4th of July at the hotel. Great experience! It was quiet and we got an upgrade to a 10th floor room with a spectacular view over Lady Bird Lake and the city. We were a 3 minute walk from fun S Congress Ave, with lots of shopping and restaurants. It is right on the walking path and lake sports facility. We used Uber often and we never waited more than 2 minutes to get a ride. Very pleasant staff all around. Highly recommend!
This remolded hotel was amazing! We came for a "staycation" for the 4th of July weekend and really were blown away at the renovation and location of the hotel. We were able to walk to 2nd street and have some amazing food and watch the fireworks from the bat bridge. The hotel is very quiet and the patrons were all respectful families enjoying the holiday. 5 stars!
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel, the front desk was friendly and helpful. Being a globalist I was upgraded to a high-floor suite with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The room was spacious, well maintained, and very comfortable. The bed provided a great night's sleep, and the linens were fresh and of good quality. My only minor criticism is that the pillows weren't ideal—they were either too flat or too bulky, making it difficult to find one that was comfortable.
The room was equipped with everything I needed, including reliable Wi-Fi, a well-stocked coffee station, and modern amenities. The bathroom was clean, and the shower had excellent water pressure. My only complaint was that the water drained slowly. Since I was only staying for two nights, I did not report the issue.
Overall, I was very impressed with the comfort, cleanliness, and quality of the room. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
I had such a great stay at the Hyatt Regency Austin. The team was kind, the rooms were super clean, and the view of the lake was honestly the best part of waking up. It’s close to everything downtown but still feels like a quiet escape. Loved the vibe, loved the location, and I’d happily book it again.
We came here for our 30th Anniversary and to see the fireworks. We picked a corner room and asked for one with a view of the show and they delivered. We couldn't hear the music but that's OK as we were comfortable in air-conditioning. There is some construction going on steps away from the hotel but it didn't really impact anything. Hotel is steps away from Capital Cruises too so you can get in your bat-viewing. The grab-n-go shop has a nice selection of reasonably priced food/drinks/snacks which allowed us to stay in when desired. Note that the hotel is on the south side of the river/lake while walkable restaurants are on the north. We had a great time.
Beautiful property and room. As expected.
Balcony rooms had great view of fireworks.
Very disappointed in experience. My original booking was 3 rooms for a family gathering. Unfortunately two rooms cancelled causing slight glitch at check in, but was handled nicely.
But…. Service was not good at restaurant or bar. Not enough help, and several drinks couldn’t be made due to missing ingredients. Food was mediocre for the price.
Problems began when dining reservation was not found. I made the reservation weeks early to get the time and patio location at 8 pm. We were still seated inside on time inside. It was busy but that should have been planned for by the hotel. Our drinks and dinner orders were placed together about 15 minutes later. The waitress never checked back. My drink was not correct and tasted bad (White Russian)… I drank it because I had nothing else to drink until we left! No water. Did not see the waitress to replace or tweek the drink. I had planned on having at least three drinks along with my husband but no such luck. No July 4th cheer! We finally left. The food was sent to our room around 9:30. Missed sitting on the balcony I paid for during part of the celebration and drone show because of the extremely slow and poor service. I expected much more. I’m local and came with a plan. Hyatt was not enjoyable.
