Great service as always. the view of LA was amazing. We got a top floor overlooking sunset. Room service was available and the food was very good. Never left the room and we got all that we required to have a great day here.
Our room smelled of mildew. It was so strong that we did not stay the night. The pool that was advertised was occupied with a special event.
We had a suite upgrade and it is a very spacious room-it feels like an apartment! The pool is delightful overlooking the hills. The hotel is quiet which makes sleeping a dream!
Great hotel with excellent location, amazing views & a wonderful team that truly values its guests. Highly recommended for anyone visiting LA in General & West Hollywood in particular.
We took a girls trip to LA with my friend and our daughters. The Andaz was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. Juliet at the front desk was definitely welcoming and gave us great information on LA sites and places to eat. We loved getting to know her. Also, the bartender was great and we loved sitting in the bar and talking to him. His service was top notch. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, the location was safe and lots of places easily around to walk to and venture out. Definitely a good one in LA.
The Andaz was a wonderful hotel. The view from the rooftop is awesome... The staff was great and friendly. I recommend getting the breakfast rate as well.
What a great hotel. It was a pleasure be greeted by Francis and Zoe. Their energy, attention to detail and managerial skills are the best. I am very impressed with their enthusiasm, communication skills and professional demeanor. The breakfast was fantastic.
Great location. The hotel was modern, clean and had great customer service. We enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and room service for dinner. The room was large, super comfortable. I wold highly recommend this property.
We love it here! Beautiful property and some of the most caring staff in West Hollywood! Juliette and Nadia at the front desk were so kind and accommodating. This has been an amazing experience!
Until we checked in we didn't realize this is the famous Hollywood "Riot House" hotel of the 1970s. lol. Our room was huge. The hotel is clean and nice and well decorated. The one dinner we had there was well prepared and fair priced. And the location is central to everything we came to see and do in LA. Would def stay here again.
Then Andaz accommodated another week-long business meeting for us and did a fantastic job. Food and beverage were great, and all dietary needs in our team were met. But the best part was the service. Their event staff was onsite for the entire event and responded immediately to any needs that came up,and the whole week went very smoothly. I've worked with their team for 3 years now, and it's always like visiting family.
I have stayed at this hotel 4 or 5 times in recent years, mainly for these reasons: 1) nice rooftop pool, 2) central location, 3) crazy proximity to Comedy Store (i’m a big standup fan).
It has always been a step down from the majority of the rest of the Andaz brand - very tourist-centric, thin walls, rooms in need of a good refurb, etc.
Despite all that, I have been staying there for the reasons above (plus it’s a lot cheaper than the nearby hotels).
Sadly, though, this will be my last stay. I arrived at 7pm on my check-in day and was quite matter of factly told that my room wasn’t ready. I was flabbergasted. I had been traveling all day and I had never heard of a room not being ready at 7p. I was offered two drink tickets for my burden.
My TA called 3 times to try and sort out why this happened and what could be done to make it up to me … and she was hung up on 3 times. Totally unprofessional and unbusinesslike behavior. Who does that?
Then yesterday I worked in my room in the morning with the do not disturb sign out. When I left in the early afternoon, I told the housekeeper on the floor that I was leaving and had taken the DND sign off my door and asked her to kindly make up my room. I was surprised when I came back at 6p-ish to find the room hadn’t been made up. So I called down to the desk to ask them to send housekeeping to clean the room. I was told “we’re so sorry, sir. We will take care of it immediately”. So I was REALLY surprised when I came back at 10p and the room STILL hadn’t been made up.
To me, these are signs of a poorly managed hotel OR one where they just don’t care about the customers.
This morning as I was about to check out I was emailed by an assistant manager who said she was taking off the destination fee for two of my three nights.
Finally, my TA is part of the Hyatt Prive program where TAs who do a lot of business get extra perks for their customers, like a welcome amenity and an F&B credit, etc.
As I was waiting for my room upon check-in, I perused the free snack area by the front desk. When I got upstairs to my room, my “welcome amenity” was a collection of these same free snacks (plus two water bottles)(See pix attached). For those who haven’t been through a TA with such status, the welcome amenities are usually things like a bottle of wine or some fancy chocolates or what-have-you. Thanks so much, Andaz West Hollywood! 🙏🤦🏻♂️
The staff is amazing and wants nothing more than for you to feel comfortable and taken care of!
Nothing, we’ve stayed here before and will again.
