Excellent hotel with exceptional customer service.
Travelled for my wife’s 40th birthday and was our first visit to NYC.
We were upgraded to a corner room on floor 38. The location of the hotel in East Midtown meant views were unbelievable (no photo could do it justice) with nearly all skyscrapers visible towards Manhattan. I genuinely spent most my time when in the room gazing out the panoramic windows.
The hotel is only a 10 min walk from Grand Central and 20 mins from Times Square.
Only marked down slightly because we were wanting a little lay in on our last day, but were woken by maintenance and constant drilling at 7am. But please, don’t let that put you off this hotel!
Thank you for an unforgettable stay.
The closest hotel to the United Nations and half a mile from Grand Central Station.
Beautiful views of Manhattan and the East River skylines. Staff very professional and friendly. Good food and prices reasonable for NY.
Big thank you to Nana and Elizabeth in the UN Cafe inside the Millennium One Hilton UN Plaza They were so cheerful and welcoming and helped me and my mum with our purchase Great staff 😊
Excellent views
The repair work that was underway...the drilling was just above my allocated room and it was almost impossible to do any work as I was there on business
This property had a wonderful view, Brandon had checked us in to the hotel on Saturday Afternoon and he was so very kind and helpful through the whole process, he had selected us a room with a beautiful view of the city and river on the 39th floor. It has a peaceful atmosphere when it wasn’t busy as well, which was usually late afternoons :)
I will say the rooms are not very sound proof, just to be warned, noisy neighbors are always a possibility, which is what we experienced on our last night there, otherwise the stay was mostly calm and quiet
Ce j'ai aimé le plus c'est l'accueil des personnels et leus services
Le prix des chambres , les taxes exorbitant et la caution qu'on prends qui ne retourne pas intégralement
This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. It’s conveniently located to an area of the city that we visit often. The rooms are clean. However the employees mostly all leave something to be desired - not particularly friendly or courteous. There is a $38 resort fee charged per night which can be used on food & beverage. Hilton Gold members receive a F&B credit of $18 pp (max $36). And it’s not difficult to use it because everything is stupidly expensive - I bought a cookie and a yogurt parfait for $20! We will stay again if it’s priced right but it will only be because it’s convenient for us and will have absolutely nothing to do with the service provided or the loyalty benefits received.
Room was filthy!
Considering this is a somewhat upscale hotel, you would expect premium quality across the board, in all aspects, this was not the case.
While certainly well situated, with generally good service, the cleanliness left a LOT to be desired.
Room was dirty and dusty, old underwear (seriously?) and bottles under the bed, and it's hard not to notice the dust riddled vents, could use a thorough cleaning.
For the record, this was room 3307.
Bottom line, I will not be back, and most certainly won't recommend this pigsty.
The hotel is located in a great spot of NYC. Cause of its proximity to the UN it’s super safe and you have Grand Central as your nearest subway so it’s really nice to see that every day. We frequently went to the 711 and Romanos pizza just a 10 min walk away and were overall incredibly happy with the location. Though some things to work on. Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly rude and cold. Immediately asked for a $500 deposit and got upset when we didn’t know about this and challenged him. He then said ‘pay the deposit or don’t stay here’ after that interaction we were given the room key. There seems to be 2 sides to the hotel. A fancy side with a nicer lift, and carpets and the standard side for the cheaper rooms (where ours was). Upon checking in, the room was in a real state. Dirty towels, half eaten food, earplugs on the floor. I went down to the front desk and asked for another room (we’d been up for 24hrs) the lady was incredibly apologetic, sweet and kind and upgraded us to a corner suite in the nicer side of the hotel. This room was all clean, though there were still burn marks and makeup stains in the carpet. My final gripe about the hotel was the breakfast menu. We had been told we had $45 per person per day menu credit in the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was this price so we bought two. Upon paying we were not allowed to charge it to the room, thus we didn’t use this credit?
Overall an alright spot, just know you will be paying $100s more in local fees and other charges.
The room carpet was filthy. The lamp shades were dirty and had reminants of bed bugs. The mattress was lumpy/ lopsided and when I pulled back the sheets there was a big piss stain in the mattress. The windows were smudged and dirty too. Ordered room service that never came, but was charged to the room. That room 4041 was in terrible condition and allowed to be assigned to us…that says a whole lot about this hotel. Says a lot about the Hilton brand…TERRIBLE!!!!
Large room, nice gym and great location.
No kettle in the room.
The best service you could ask for.
There was no water available in our room during our stay. In addition, we were given a voucher and told that we could eat at the café with a credit of about $38 included. However, we are now being charged $43.60 due to what appears to be incorrect or misleading information provided by the hotel staff.
We would appreciate clarification on these charges and a resolution to this issue as soon as possible.
My favorite place to stay ! Not to far from times square apartment size rooms great staff super clean
