This hotel is not only old and dingy outside it is old and dingy on the inside, our bed you could feel the springs. The wallpaper is peeling everywhere and walls are filthy

Nice hotel but for the name and price I would be have expected those issues with this type of hotel.
Pros:

The location was great and the room was cleanand had a nice view.

Cons:

The pillows were terrible, between 4 pillows I couldn't get one to work. The shower seemed clogged and the water didnt go down while I took a 15 body shower. No one new exactly what the time for breakfast was going to be or if it was going to be buffet or not.

Great location and very clean nice room.
Pros:

Wifi was really slow but it was free.
They had no guide for the TV and it was a bit odd layout... most hotels have a home page with a menu, I did not find one here.
The hotel is really in a great location to explore Milwaukee and for Fiserv Forum and other venues.
I'd come back any day... just wish a few things were better.

Cons:

Wifi was really slow.
TV kinda sucked.

Disappointing stay
Pros:

Old hotel, the room needs updating desperately. The bathroom door shows signs of water damage. The TV streaming doesn't work worth a flip.
This property is in obvious decline and they are not doing anything about it.
If you are a fan of Hyatt properties, which I am, this property is not up to their standards at all.

Bed bugs and surprise deposit
Pros:

There were bed bugs in my room. Although not dangerous, bed bugs tend to hide in clothes and bags, and if you take them home, they are nearly impossible to get rid of. I will almost certainly lose or damage pieces of clothing, as they will all have to be washed and dried at extremely high temperatures to ensure any bugs and eggs are destroyed.
I was also charged a 200 dollar deposit upon arrival without previous warning, which will only be returned one week after checking out.
The hotel itself is ok, but obviously having bed bugs and hidden charges are just not an acceptable trade-off.

My go-to location when visiting Milwaukee
Pros:

The downtown Milwaukee Hyatt is a go-to place for me when I am visiting Milwaukee on business at MSOE. Located near Old World Third Street and not too far from the Public Market via the Riverwalk, it is easily accessible to several local sights.

Wonderful Stay
Pros:

We have been staying at the Hyatt for every stay in Milwaukee since May 2022. The staff is always lovely and very accommodating. Though dated, the rooms are very comfortable and very clean. The highlight is the valet staff and bellhops. The entire valet staff is incredible, especially Sythe, Jarren and Antonious. So attentive, courteous and respectful. They are a big part of why we always stay at the Hyatt after driving from Boston.
