Design of the hotel was excellent, provided cool onsite communal areas great for connecting with people. Pool is excellent. Staff were very helpful and I was offered a complementary late checkout which was very kind!

This Hyatt downtown is old and out of the way, with nothing walkable nearby. The nearest decent food is 12-15 blocks away, so plan on walking a while or driving anywhere good.
Breakfast was essentially nonexistent. The only nearby option was an Einstein Bros. Bagels — overpriced, low quality, and slammed with long lines for everything, even just grabbing water. The hotel did have an on-site restaurant, but staff couldn't tell us if or when it was actually open. It never did open during our stay, and no one seemed to know what was going on.
Nothing about the property felt special — it's dated, not charming, and the location works against you for food, coffee, or basically anything within walking distance. You can do much better elsewhere in Houston. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.
Stayed here during the Soccer World Cup in Houston. Staff was very friendly, always willing to help with directions, recommendations and general questions. Location was perfect for the event.
We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown for two nights (June 12–14) and had another great experience. Upon arrival, the front desk associate was very welcoming and helpful. We had reserved a room with a king bed and sofa, but seeing that we were traveling with family, she thoughtfully upgraded us to a room with two queen beds, which made our stay much more comfortable.
The room and bathroom were clean, spacious, and well maintained. We were in town for a music festival, so the hotel was quite busy, but the staff still provided prompt and courteous service throughout our stay.
This was our second time staying at this hotel, and both visits have been consistently positive. The combination of friendly staff, clean accommodations, and convenient location makes this an excellent choice. We would definitely stay here again on future visits to the Houston area.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the entire property was welcoming and relaxing. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. We especially appreciated the convenient location, which made it easy to enjoy nearby attractions and restaurants. The amenities were well-kept, and everything exceeded our expectations. From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and enjoyable. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality service, and great value.
I have been here twice for professional conferences. I highly recommend requesting a corner room. It's a bit farther from the elevator, but much quieter as you do not hear any noise from the atrium. Amenities are great and staff is very professional.
