My husband and I were in San Francisco to attend a very special wedding anniversary event nearby at the Fairmont. Our room and the friendly service at the Grand Hyatt, made the overnight trip very special. This is my new go to hotel in San Francisco.
The view and the suite size

In a city with plenty of good and mediocre hotels options, this property is a bad one.
The staff are friendly and cheerful. That’s the good part.
Everything else about this property is inferior. It’s an architectural abomination. The rooms are dated and the carpet is worn. Lighting is bad. The AC doesn’t work and is loud. The elevators are crowded and slow. The gym is too small and too crowded. It just doesn’t have anything going for it.
I would avoid until the property gets a major renovation.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt San Francisco! Our room was clean, comfortable, and located on the 26th floor with a great city view. The hotel is also centrally located, making it very convenient to get to many of San Francisco’s main attractions.
Shout out to Victor Diaz and the entire team for helping arrange an early check-in. Our flight from NYC landed at SFO at 9:30 AM, so being able to get into our room earlier than the standard check-in time was incredibly helpful after a long travel day. We truly appreciated the hospitality!
One thing to be mindful of is the destination fee. The hotel charges $40 per day, which was clearly noted in our reservation, so it wasn’t a surprise to us. The fee does provide access to various discounts at attractions and restaurants, which can be useful if you take advantage of them.
Overall, we had a great experience and would absolutely stay here again. Would we visit again? Yes, of course! Highly recommended for the location, cleanliness, views, and excellent service.
The view was great, the location was good, in walking distance to everything. The room was comfortable and the shower felt great.
Parking.
Atmosphere and rooms were wonderful. Breakfast was lacking and the eggs were soggy. I also believe front of the house staff including valet could be more professional.

Amazing location close to Macy’s and great service by staff. Rooms were clean and view was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your next trip.

I attended a conference held at the hotel. The location is perfect for seeing all of the sights in San Francisco. All of the staff were very courteous. We had a room on the 12th floor with one king bed. It also had an easy chair with ottoman that was great for relaxing. Our friends had a room with a fantastic view on a higher floor, but they had 2 queen beds and no chair. We did not eat at the restaurant, it is pricy. There are many food options in the area. I would certainly recommend this hotel.
