Clean
The room wording said I was supposed to have a king bed and a sofa bed, but there was no sofa bed there
Hotel is just okay for the location and rate add $50 for parking. Bathrooms are very small. Coffee at the club lounge was horrible like it was made from already used grounds. This was after the downstairs Restaurant had no one staffing breakfast though it was all set up, but not even coffee was out even at the counter to go, though it had coffee cups and supplies out. Luckily, I bring a portable kettle and instant coffee anyway because I'm up before most coffee places open and hotel room coffee machines/coffee pods can be kinda gross.
The location is perfect for the venue.
The light in the bathroom kept flickering. The 3 elevators was not enough .
The convenience of the location
The ac unit was leaking and not producing cold air which made the first night very uncomfortable to sleep. The floor was wet around it and we had maintenance come and look and they said that’s probably from the carpet being shampooed but it was only in that area. They did fix it the next day but it should have been the day we said something first
Great
Great
The best of this hotel is front desk service with Franco and his assistant on that shift a kind lady who’s name couldn’t find in my notes. They helped and explained details of the city and solved all our requests in a very professional way, a service I value a lot. The lounge on the 20th should increase the A/C temperature as it was freezing cold we all got sick. For the rest great stay next time in town Marriot City Center will be our choice
I like where the property is. It’s a great location.
I didn’t like that they have early check in and late check outs. That messes up just regular check in and then they end up waiting in the lobby or whatnot. People are traveling for a reason and with an already late check in at 4 , these rooms should be ready.
We also stayed for a concert that was canceled and still paid the full price and the price of early check in and our room wasn’t even done until almost 3. I thought I was going to be refunded that. The. The shower didn’t even work properly and we couldn’t shower. I did tell the front desk about that as someone is going to be very very upset.
Prime location, walkable to everything. Room was spacious, clean...
Pool was closed indefinitely, staff said probably for good. They can atleast replace it with jacuzzi
Room is good size. We requested king bed room with sofa bed.
The hotel needs some serious renovation. The mattress is one of the worst I have slept in. My back really hurts after the second night. We have a king size bed but the bedding seems to be queen size. The fitted sheet is way too small. The sheets are super thin. Comforter is also small for king size bed. The room overall is very outdated, lacks usb charging outlets for modern date electronics.
Weekend Trip
We stayed at the Marriott in Pittsburghs. And was very disappointed. The rooms are very outdated and the bathroom is very tiny. I felt like I was at holiday Inn. We at the restaurant. The staff was overwhelmed. My husband has a after dinner coffee they gave him a to go cup. And then they for got his dessert. The front desk is very friendly. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. If you are a regular Marriott customer
the view
The bathroom was dirty, the bathtub and shower didn't work, it was old and very humid.
Location , clean
Expensive parking
Proximity to downtown and colleges
Outdated. No hot water in my room and bed was not great . Had to change rooms. Needs a MAJOR renovation .
This is an old big box of a Marriott. The rooms are dated and the furniture worn and tired. An okay place for an overnight stay but lacking any charm or character. Location is convenient to the stadium and downtown, but the otherwise lifeless at night and generally devoid of places to eat or drink (aside from the hotel itself). The hotel has expensive valet parking and a rather expensive and creepy parking garage. But if you’re willing to walk a few minutes, you can find street parking nearby. The staff was friendly and accommodating…. but the facility really needs work.
Location. Near PPG Arena.
Staff was rude and not helpful.
