The hotel was very clean, and the lobby has a BIG ROBUST feeling. The staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a great buffet or other options. There is a coffee shop, but the prices are ridiculous and the woman working while I was there not friendly. I got a soda and it wasn't cold twice.
I attended for a conference and overall the experience was good. I wasn’t overly impressed by the room, but all at all it was a good stay.
To be completely fair I did not stay at this hotel. But I attended an event for the Prince Celebration in the large upstairs ballroom. The experience was so bad I had to share. There were nearly 1000 people in the ballroom. One woman's bathroom on that floor that was not serviced the entire day. Halfway through the day there was not toilet paper, paper towels, etc. A total mess. I was just an attendee but I went to the front desk to complain and it took nearly an hour before they sent someone up to deal with the bathroom. Totally unacceptable. There were stations with water and no one came to clean up the dirty glasses and provide new ones. The hotel never had anyone check on the ballroom amenities. Terrible. We then walked to the bar and had another terrible experience. We ordered a couple of simple drinks, and yet they got them all wrong. The gin martini was made with vodka, requested dirty martini, did not get it dirty. The service was just horrible in the bar. We watched as nearly a dozen drinks were made by the bartenders and lined up for over 10-15 minutes without any servers delivering the drinks. The hotel had another conference going on and they seemed completely unprepared to handle the crowds. Terrible
The check in/out process was seamless. The conference rooms were good. The information about events around town was acceptable.
I would like to give a positive review, but the upgraded suite was below average. No beverages, no snacks and outdated decor. Poorly designed bathroom. Just not worth the cost. Fights outside the hotel. Not somewhere we will likely go again.
I had a highly frustrating experience at this hotel. I unfortunately left a valuable suit jacket in my room upon checkout. I contacted the lost&foound services shortly after, but they claimed it was never found. Based on this experience, I have serious concerns about the honesty of the housekeeping staff and the hotel's lost-and-found process. Save yourself the headache and stay elsewhere.
It was spacious and well-located downtown.
There were multiple hairs found in both bathrooms on the floor and the bathtub when we arrived which was not ideal, considering the luxury suite booking. The bathtub drain was clogged and drained very slowly. The pullout bed was not comfortable to sleep on.
Check in staff are nice and housekeeping staff are responsive. Rooms are clean but could be deep cleaned better in the future!
The location was great and the property was clean.
Not able to adjust the temperature in my room. Having to pay for parking separately from the room. No breakfast included.
Very friendly staff, excellent value for money hotel, very clean rooms and floors, good choices for dining inside the building.
First, Rachel Manager at the front desk was very welcoming and tried to make our stay memorable. There were some disappointing exceptions. My biggest complaint was that I was over charged for this stay. As a WoH Globalist member, I should NOT have been charged for bottled water, or the parking garage! I was charged for THREE nights, and we only stayed for two, but there shouldn't have been any charge for parking at all. The breakfast experience was NOT what I receive at ALL other Hyatt Regency's. The only option is the breakfast Buffett and you are not allowed to order off on the menu. This is different than all of the other Hyatt Regency's that I've stayed at. I'm sorry to say that this was not the best experience at this Hyatt Regency.
We visit regularly and the staff always goes above and beyond! Love the full basketball court and gym as well. Breakfast is always good as well.
A good location to access downtown Minneapolis with a simple walk; nice to have dining close as well as a lovely park a bit behind the hotel. It was handy for us as we had a competition in the Convention Center and was easily walkable.
I attended a meeting here. The meeting space was fine. The lobby was nice and the people friendly. The food at the meeting was decent and the hotel seemed very clean.
