Beautiful place to stay
Staff came to room about smoking. No one was smoking.
I had a haborview room. The view was great.
Air conditioning was broken. It was horrible the room was hot. Took us contacting staff several times before we had to physically go to the lobby for assistance. Even after maintenance came and assure us they fixed the problem. The air conditioning didn't cook off the room.
I liked the front desk
I do not like the way breakfast said included and then they charged all this money for food! I do not eat all you can eat I have stomach issues and never have been able to get all you can eat! They came by the table and offered coffee and water and after drinking a cup of coffee there was lip stick on the coffee cup! No one checks on you while you’re eating they just come by and grab your plate! I ate a piece of toast and that was all that money no one said it was extra
$ 77.00 I would have never paid that I don’t eat anything on the all you can eat buffet the fist day they had no fresh fruit like bananas the second day they did but they were so bruised no one wants to eat that! We had to stop after check out to eat! Just very sad! Give people that information before they stay! The room was so loud you heard your neighbors showered and toilet flushes! I have never paid this price to stay in Baltimore before and we are here so much! This was first time at this hotel! Just not happy with the price and the way things are hidden from guests
Location was amazing!
We had no hot water on Sunday when we went to shower. The hotel was booked up due to several events in the city that weekend.
The views from the pool , the view from my room was horrible I feel like front desk put me there because he was upset I asked for a manager
The staff ( Daniel ) at check in
Not what I would expect from a Hyatt Regency property. Room was 75-76° the entire time with the thermostat set on 66°, even after maintenance “reset” the thermostat. We were not offered another room although the front desk was advised the “reset” did not resolve the problem. Mattress felt like springs were poking through. No complimentary bottled water provided as a Discoverist. Dined at Bistro 300 for breakfast and dinner, both were subpar. Ingredients for the breakfast dish were not available but we were not informed of this until the dish was served without two of the main ingredients advertised. Dinner entree was lukewarm at best and dinner service was at a snail’s pace even though it was not even close to crowded. Unable to check out using the Hyatt app, required to check out at the front desk.
Proximity to the convention center.
The walkway to the convention center was not in operation due to construction.
The hotel needs to be updated. There are roaches. The wallpaper is peeling and it’s dusty. The staff was nice though. I would never stay in this hotel again.
This hotel was far from a typical Hyatt experience. It began with the hotel checking us into a room that they had deemed as ready to be occupied, only to find (after advising staff that we believed someone was in the room due to a sign on the door that said this room is occupied and our keys not working) that someone was already in the room. As we were waiting for the issue to clear up, a family four doors down opened their room and was met by a rather large cockroach. After our room confusion was cleared up, we were given another room, which had an amazing view, but was very outdated. Although this is small to some, they only had paper cups in the room. I'm used to having drinking glasses in the room. The curtains were a bit threadbare and the carpet was worn. There are some nice spaces, but overall, rooms need a major update. It reminded me of a 1980s budget hotel.
Close to where we needed to be.
The apathy and unprofessionalism shown by the staff at this hotel is incredible. We stayed July 4th, 5th. The hotel decided to capitalize on the holiday by charging $100 dollars per chair/chaise at the pool. People reserved their chairs for fireworks and surrounded the pool leaving nowhere for paying guests to view the pool their children were in. There was no lifeguard and the risk of drowning due to alcohol and crowding was very high.
The air-conditioning did not work in the room and the temp was 85 degrees. The water lever in the shower that diverts the water fell out of the wall mid shower.
They have 3 small elevators that only hold 8 people but there are 15 floors in this hotel. Waits are long for elevators.
I will not stay at this facility again. Money is their priority and safety is on you.
My stay at the Hyatt was extremely disappointing and, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.
As someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 16 years at a Marriott property, I understand that unexpected issues can happen. What I cannot understand is the complete lack of urgency, communication, and customer service I experienced throughout my stay.
I stayed at the hotel for one week while attending a convention. During that time, the toilet in my room clogged at least nine times—four times in a single day. Despite repeated calls to the front desk, the issue was never permanently resolved. It became so inconvenient that I avoided using the restroom in my own room and instead used the public restrooms throughout the hotel because I never knew when the toilet would clog again.
My room was also not cleaned on two separate occasions. Each time I called, I was told that someone would come to take care of it, but no one ever showed up. In addition, the room remained uncomfortably hot for the duration of my stay, despite reporting the problem. It was never fixed.
What made the experience even more frustrating was that no manager ever contacted me, despite the numerous issues I reported throughout the week. A simple conversation, apology, or effort to make things right would have gone a long way.
On my final day, I left for the airport at 3:00 a.m. and discovered I had misplaced my valet ticket. Throughout the week, I had provided my phone number every time I retrieved my vehicle, yet the valet staff struggled to locate my information. Instead of handling the situation efficiently, I was required to complete a lengthy form before my car could be released. People misplace valet tickets every day, and there should be a more streamlined process. The delay nearly caused me to miss my flight.
To make matters worse, there were water outages during my stay, and guests were not properly notified in advance.
Overall, this was a very poor experience from beginning to end. The recurring maintenance issues, inconsistent housekeeping, lack of communication, and inadequate customer service made what should have been a pleasant stay unnecessarily stressful. I cannot recommend this hotel, and I will not be staying here again.
The hotel was old. The bed was very hard. The service was not good. Service was slow, no smiles. There is only one microwave in the entire hotel. I had to wait almost an hour to use the
