Location
We paid for a king room and had a queen bed. The hotel also charged my credit card the gold and the stay after I already paid through Klarna.
Location and cleanliness.
Needs some updating.
Absolutely loved the staff and the hotel.
The room walls were thin or it was because i was in a room connected to another room with a door in the room connecting us , that we had to call the front desk, because they were very loud laughing and cursing at 1am in the morning. Even when they lowered their tone in their room it was still loud. I would blame the noise on the fact that the rooms were adjacent to each other. For $330 a night, I expected better.
Breakfast was awful, food blah, waiter/manager was servicing me,and up and left. Had a horrible attitude, and frankly wasn't friendly at all.
Manager was my server, left without finishing up my meal, two other ladies got my food, and tea I ordered.
We have stayed at various hotels in Baltimore around Inner Harbor and wanted to try this one since it looks beautiful and modern on the outside. But looks are very deceiving. We stayed 7 nights in May 2026 for a graduation from UMSOD and I found this to be overall disappointing. I am a frequent traveler and we were placed on the 12 floor which was told to me to be the club floor. Indicated we would receive bottled water daily etc since I have entry status.
The room is very basic. The desk area is sufficient space, however the chair they have at the desk is HORRIBLE TO SIT IN. So on day 3 I went down to the front desk and while I was not asking for a desk/office chair, I asked if even a catering chair that had padded seats on them from the few in the lobby could be sent up to my room. The front desk attendant looked at me like I had 10 heads. He then said we don't have any extras and what is the room is what you get. And, if I wanted to use a chair from the meeting rooms I could go to a meeting room and drag one to my room myself. Honestly, I was appalled - and I replied that is really horrible customer service that the front desk person expected me to hunt down and drag my own chair to my room.
the other seat in the room is an incredible corner bench if you will and that is not large enough for more than 2 people to sit on it and is hard a rock.
The toilet in the bath room is prison style - it has no tank on it. And it is so low to the ground I feel like I am not going to be able to get off it when done with my business.
Using the WIFI for work was a lesson too. My connection would drop if I didn't stay active for more than 5 minutes!
The rooms are SADLY in need of updating. And, same with the staff. Don't think they really wanted to be there.
I arrived early and they said they would text when the room was ready. 8 hours later they still hadn't contacted me so I went back. Of course the room was ready long before. Also didn't clean the room until the last day of a 4 night stay.
I was here for a convention with friends. The bar and restaurant staff were amazing. The hotel was an easy talk to restaurants and a cvs. The hotel was easily accessible gif an uber or Lyft or light rail from airport.
Don't expect a Hyatt Regency experience. The brand is suffering and almost acts as they don't care. This is my second trip to a Hyatt in as many months and both experiences were the same. Cranky staff, limited services, tired propery and bad food.
I had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and spacious, very comfortable as well. I had a great view! I hope I get to go back next year!
Nice and clean
Loved the property
If you are headed to the Baltimore Convention Center, the Hyatt Regency is beautifully situated for walkable access. Most people carry a backpack or bag because they need to hold onto their belongings for the whole day, but I didn't need to carry anything because the Hyatt was literally across the street. I would say the rooms themselves could use a little modern refresh, but if you're just looking for a business travel stay, it's all you need.
