Highly recommended for stay in Jakarta
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and the hospitality staff were terrific. The breakfast was outstanding, I loved the selection and quality of dishes offered for breakfast. The lobby was very welcoming and the pool area was fantastic after a busy day exploring Jakarta.

Champagne on a beer budget
Pros:

Pros:
- for decades this was a Hyatt and you can tell with the 90s resort style, lots of marble, high ceilings, old school club lounge furniture, wood panel and mirrored lift, marble corridors on each floor
- pool was immaculately clean and practically empty
- large spacious guest room with city view, high ceilings
- when you consider newer “trendy” hotels at comparable price which have limited facilities and rooms are tiny, this feels like a steal
- check in staff are the most professional and experienced I’ve had during my stay in Indonesia. Could be anywhere in the world, can tell they used to be Hyatt

Cons:
- the owners have run out of money (do a quick google) so the entry level rooms have original furniture and carpet which are due for a refurbishment. If they did do a makeover, room rate would be three times so this is also a pro
- city location was good for catching a train to Yogyakarta the next day but wouldn’t choose unless I needed to be in this area
- the mattress was not comfortable for my preferences and definitely not Hyatt / Marriott quality
- no hand towel or bath mat in my room

Friendly helpful staff. Great location and excellent breakfast. Ate in bistro for dinner which was excellent. Great pool area.
