Amazing location and great staff, definitely staying there again
Came to The Mayfair bar for a late-night expensive drink and unfortunately the service really let the experience down. We ordered an expensive bottle of champagne and while the first glass was poured, after that we were essentially left to serve ourselves and while pouring i think the guy even yawned. After all this a service charge being added.(normal practice but not deserved.) We came Sat 8th August around 23.00.
The glassware was lovely and the doorman of the bar was genuinely warm and welcoming, but the bar staff seemed largely uninterested. Several spent more time walking around in pairs chatting than paying attention to guests, and the overall attitude felt dismissive and, at times, rude.
For a hotel and bar at this level, especially when you’re spending good money on a bottle, I expected far more attentive and polished service. It was disappointing to feel like our custom simply wasn’t valued. Cost of living is crazy, treat patrons who spend with even the slightest bit of care.
I’m very disappointed with my stay. The bathtub did not drain properly even after the drain cover was removed, towels left for replacement were not replenished, and the bathrobe provided was visibly damaged. These are basic standards I would expect from a hotel, and the issues significantly affected my comfort and overall experience. I would appreciate an appropriate resolution or compensation.

Hotel is Really good value in this location.
Gym is very small
Only negative is that reception carry “no change”for tips … it’s a huge tourist hotel and this is a negative.
