Pros:

Always love staying there. Perfect location

Cons:

That i had to call the desk to learn how to work the air (directions in the room or even being told it takes 2 minutes to come on when you check in) and had to reset the tv.

Fantastic stay
Pros:

Fantastic location and very close to the restaurants and bars. Beautiful view from the balcony and we enjoyed our morning coffee whilst watching the dolphins swimming in the creek. The staff were great - Doug was so friendly and helpful! We would definitely recommend this place.

Relaxing vibe, conveniently located, great value
Pros:

Shem Creek Inn was a wonderful place to stay while visiting the Charleston area. I love how it was conveniently located between downtown Charleston and the Sullivans Island beaches. The boardwalk through the marshes was beautiful and allowed for sunrise and sunset walks without getting in the car. The pool deck was so relaxing and I saw dolphins in the waterway. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect stay to visit the area. Great restaurants all along creek.
Pros:

Location was perfect. Fun bar on water for Happy Hour, good restaurants in walking distance.

Great location in an old but clean Inn. don't expect luxury, long boardwalks, boats to see views.
Pros:

The second floor with balcony over looking the creek was great. Lots of activity, boats, kayakers, even dolphins go by. Restaurants and bars next door.

Cons:

"breakfast" is pretty sad. Plastic wrapped gas station quality snacks and keurig coffee was about it.

It was relaxing and entertaining and convent to all surrounding attractions!

I love that the location was just a short drive into Charleston . It had a great vibe from the surrounding restaurants and bars surrounding the creek.

Spring Visit
Pros:

Bad experience
Pros:

At first our room looked decent, but then we discovered dirty corners in the room and mold in the bathroom. On the balcony we found a bag with food leftovers. Our room was not made up on the second day. Management?? The breakfast was terrible, everyting packed in plastic. We couldn't eat it. Of course very low maintenance.

Amazing Guest Services
Pros:

We had to cancel our trip at the last minute due to a family emergency. Eddy, the Guest Services Manager at Shem Creek Inn, was very responsive and understanding. As soon as we were able to reschedule our trip, we booked our stay at the inn again. I will be sure to write another review after our stay.

Perfect little place on the Shem Creek
Pros:

ighly recommend. While generally no-frills, the location, service, cleanliness and comfort were all perfect. Staff were genuinely very friendly and eager to assist. The pool deck was particularly cool overlooking the Shem Creek’s marina, restaurants and beach bars. Live music played each day thoroughly Shem Creek, but we were pleasantly surprised that it did not keep us up at night. Easy drive/uber to downtown Charleston.

Great stay
Pros:

This is a great location. We attended the WTA tennis tournament there - Daniels Island. This a small hotel that is well run and goes out of its way to accommodate the guest. We have stayed there for 10+ years.
