I had a wonderful breakfast experience at the InterContinental Madrid. The food selection was excellent, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality options that catered to every taste. Everything I tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor.
The staff were attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Their service struck the perfect balance—always available without being intrusive.
The setting itself is absolutely beautiful, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere that makes starting the day here feel special.

There is a consistency with the Intercontinental hotels that I appreciate. Our location was close to the center and yet not in the fray of things. It was an easy walk to everywhere we wanted to go, but also had a lovely neighborhood feel.
Additionally, the service was impeccable. Maid service consistently refilled our amenities, including Daily water. The breakfast, which came with our room was personalized, offering of variety of options from eggs cooked to our specifications to smoke salmon, potatoes, meat, etc., as well as a beautiful variety of breads. The Concierge was always helpful and supportive, as was the front desk. Everyone was accommodating, warm and friendly.
The rooms, although they could probably use a refurbishment, had everything we would need and we’re very well thought out in terms of where to hang your clothes, charging areas, hooks for your towels, etc.
Also, the beds were wonderful with comfortable feather pillows which we requested, and crisp per cow, cotton sheets, large, fluffy towels, comfortable, new bath robes, and counter space around each sink for both me and my husband. Some people don’t notice this sort of thing, but for me, it really makes a difference in terms of my comfort and a good nights sleep.
Given a choice, this is a hotel I would stay in again. A few months ago, we stayed at the intercontinental in Dublin and had a very similar experience. In contrast, we recently stayed at a high-end and very modern hotel in Bilbao, Spain, but those details were missing and I absolutely noticed the difference.
This was our first time in Spain and our first trip to Madrid, and I have fallen in love and will surely be back!
The entire stay was a great experience. The property , and the entire staff make you feel great. At the Club lounge the service is amazing, thanks to Anabel the chef and Deyanira Rojas made our stay memorable. They took care of us with very detail, conversation and warmth. When you stay ask for them. On our next trip to Madrid we will book the hotel and ask for them at the Club Lounge again!

All services were great. Food at bar and restaurant was delicious and the staff are supper friendly. The breakfast was amazing. Location is good, you can take a bus from the front of the hotel and get to Gean Via in 20 Min.
On the other hand, one lady at the reception wasn’t very friendly when checking-in. Also, she explained something completely wrong that made us pay extra money because of her fault.

The facilities ( room , bath ) ...
We stayed at the Hotel for a week and had a wonderful breakfast almost every morning -for long hours. We had dinner in their restaurant on our fourth night there. The waiter and the Maitre’D attended to us, possibly because we dined early, but we believe that the level of attention would have been nearly the same had the room been full. I enjoyed roasted chicken on rice and my wife had sea bass. The food was great and treats at beginning and end were pleasant surprises. Olives, nuts, breads and a final plate of chocolate, almond-brittle and pistachio-brittle were the final surprise. We found no reason not to dine in the hotel.

There was a constant smell of deodorizer. perhaps owing to mold in the room. There were traces of mold in the closet and I took pictures of the mold stains in the room.

Great hotel with excellent staff. We were upgraded to our room but realized it was facing front and seemed a bit noisy. We called the desk and within minutes we were given a different and quieter room.
Sleeping conditions were excellent with comfortable bed, dark room and easy to regulate the temperature. The bathroom had two sinks, a toilet with its own door and a wonderful shower. Even the shampoo and body wash smelled awesome.
The breakfast was great and the staff were extremely attentive.
We love to walk and it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to by foot.
All in all an A+

It’s not in the middle of the tourist area but if you are fit it’s easy to walk or catch a bus. Taxi is quite cheap also. Meals were very nice and service was excellent.
Lo mejor del hotel es su personal. Es encantador, profesional y son el verdadero lujo del hotel.
Por donde empezar: El hotel está bastante viejo. No cumple los estandares de comfort y calidad de un 5 estrellas. Los baños de algunas habitaciones son extremadamente pequeños, hasta el punto de que las puertas de WC y entrada al baño, chocan las unas con las otras. En mi caso, viajaba con perro, y me hicieron hacer un upgrade a premium, pero la habitación era diminuta, no podíamos movernos y no pudimos usar la ducha porque perdía agua. Más allá de eso, a parte de unas camas, los perros sólo eran "admitidos" pero no podíamos ir a ningún sitio con ellos. Un desastre en un hotel que recibe el 80% de personas extranjeras con otro concepto más abierto de la tenencia de mascotas. En nuestro caso, mi marido y yo jamás pudimos ni desayunar juntos. Bastante desastre y una experiencia la mitad de agradable de lo que podría ser.
