Excellent hotel in a great location in Amsterdam convenient to trams and restaurants and river cruises.

Pros:

Unsubstantial. Machine coffee. Poor lay out. Not enough variety of fruits, yoghurts, breads. Would have been good if there as an egg station.

Cons:

Old and tired deco. Very dark, carpets need replacing and overall refresh.

Booking.com charged an extortionate rate which is not warranted.

Lovely hotel which I highly recommend
Pros:

We upgraded to an executive double which overlooked the canal and it was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff, fabulous breakfast, clean of the room and hotel in general, comfortable bed and the hotel was in a great location for the museums and restaurants

Would definitely stay again.
Pros:

Stayed 7 nights in an Executive Double Canal View Room. Beautiful old Art Deco building right on Leidseplein, everything is walkable – Vondelpark, museums, trams outside the door. Room was clean, quiet and comfy, and the canal view was really nice in the morning. Staff were friendly and helpful the whole week, and Café Americain downstairs is worth a visit.

Cons:

Nothing really – no complaints from our week there.
