First of all hotel has a great location at the heart of Midtown. In a walking distance of Central Park, MOMA, Guggenheim, MET and Broadway(recommend to see , The Lion King'. We've been also at Sylvia in Metropolitan Opera. The close distance to Grand Central make easier to get to downtown and JFK airport. We took two rooms... one with a beautiful view for street(in the corner :)). We enjoy the beautiful architecture(details) of this historical building, great service and delicious breakfast served at The Parlour( great congee).
I have never felt like I was as important as I did during My stay at the Barclay. Every staff member treated Me like I was their top quest. The hotel is beautiful the room so classy. Everything was beyond expectations.
I highly recommend Intercontinental Barclay for your stay in NYC. After staying here the first time in 2023 we have been back another 3 times and have a 4th stay booked. The hotel atmosphere and feel is classic elegance where guests can feel really comfortable and cared for. The superior rooms are elegant with really comfortable beds and the bathrooms are spacious. The location has been perfect for us as it’s close to the hustle and bustle without being right in the middle of it. Easy walking to Central Park, Bryant Park, 5th Avenue etc etc. As we have a long flight we always book through British Airways but we normally upgrade directly with the hotel and they are always so helpful and accommodating. In fact I think that everyone that we have come in contact with during our stays have always been so helpful and kind. On a couple of our stays we have added lounge access. The lounge is located to the left of the bar and they offer breakfast, snacks during the afternoon and later on pre theatre drinks and snacks. The receptionists in the lounge are super helpful and can’t do enough to ensure that you have what you need. I also must mention the doormen, in particular Angel. During our last visit over the new year it was absolutely freezing outside and they are still greeting you with the biggest smile and will help you with directions and advice! I get that this review only describes positives, but I honestly can not tell you anything that we have been unhappy with and we can’t wait for our next visit.
Don't normally share reviews but the Intercontinental really is a great place to stay - service is great, rooms are wonderful and feels like good value for NYC. Can't recommend it highly enough. Get a corner room if you can!
We had a great stay! The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed, and the location is perfect since it is close to all the main areas. The staff are welcoming and very assisting. While the lobby seemed quite busy, the bar was a very cozy spot to relax and enjoy a nice drink. Highly recommended!
早餐有白粥很好,地理位置最好
早餐白粥的旁边应该放点榨菜
A quick visit to New York for the World Cup Finals, an experience of a lifetime. As always, when we visit New York, we stayed at the Intercontinental Barclay. And, as always, we had a great experience. Friendly and helpful staff, spotless facilities and the sense that our business is valued.
Cannot wait to return.
We were a family of 4 staying in a room with double beds. The beds were small, only full size mattress were available.
Were not able to provide refrigeration services for my children’s medication. This is standard service in most hotels considered to be 4-5 stars.
When requesting late check out, the staff kept me waiting on the phone. Told me they would call back with an answer. They never called back.
The location of the hotel is nice and the lobby is elegant.
A very warm time in the city, both weather and the wonderful hospitality by the staff. Very nicely kept hotel and friendly staff. Special thanks to Sharon at the front desk for making everything seamless. Thank you Sharon!
Went to New York for my dream short break. The hotel is ideally situated, close to most attractions. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The room was amazing and the breakfast ( included in the price) was second to none. I had the most amazing experience in NYC and staying at The Intercontinental Barclay was the icing on the cake. Thoroughly recommend 👍👍👍
Elegant, clean, good rooms
No bars, restaurants or lounges except for the breakfast area
I experienced a few issues during my stay, but Dominic handled everything professionally and made it right. His excellent service and genuine care completely turned my experience around. He is a great asset to your team.
As a cancer patient who had recently left the hospital, my wife and I were simply looking for pleasent accomodations to unwind in before heading home.
We are an IHG family and enjoy Diamond Elite status, yet this was the first time we had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Barclay.
What an experience. From learning about the iconic 100 year history of the Barclay, to enjoying world class accomodations and having the pleasure to work with the most professional staff at every level.
We look forward to returning and highly recommend that travelers to NYC experience the luxery, grace, history and style that is The Intercontinental Barclay.
Located centrally on the east side of Manhattan, the Intercontinental has a beautiful atmosphere, both in the lobby and in the guest rooms. There was ample space for both of us, especially considering one of us was in NYC for business and the other for a social event. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and helpful, making our short stay both memorable and efficient!
Great location, friendly staff & enjoyed our stay.
Great location but very noisy from the street below. I think these old buildings must just be single glazed windows. The room and beds were quite small for 4 people. Also the bathroom was pretty small. Room was well serviced and comfortable though. We didn’t have breakfast here but did have some drinks and snacks from the lobby bar which were nice but of course pricey considering the location and standard of hotel.
The staff were nice, friendly and helpful.
