We loved everything including the area but the rooms are in need of updating.
Pros:

Restaurants, breakfast, spa and pool area and the staff was very helpful.

Cons:

The room was dated, beds were not comfortable and the room was small.

A Cali icon, well used by locals and travellers alike
Pros:

Staff. Location. San Antonio, El Peñon, the Cali river walkway within walking distance, all offering a good choice of restaurants, shops, bars and salsa bars. Elegant, spacious hotel by the river. Live music at the weekends on the terrace overlooking the pool, a lovely way to spend an evening or two. Waiting staff extremely professional and courteous. Best empanadas in town. A very comfortable, secure, base while exploring a very underrated and exciting city. An oasis in the heart of Cali.

Cons:

Busy front desk, a warmer greeting would have been appreciated upon arrival but in the end the staff were wonderful. Very helpful. Friendly. professional. Fewer bees and bird life as garden has been developed since the eighties so more insect friendly flowers could be planted. Nothing else.

I was very disappointed with my stay. At no point before my arrival was I informed that the hotel was undergoing construction. I was assigned a room on a floor where the renovation noise was extremely disruptive, starting early in the morning and continuing throughout the day. For the price I paid for this stay, I don’t believe this was fair. Guests should be notified in advance about ongoing construction and, whenever possible, be accommodated in a quieter area of the hotel.
