L'InterContinental d'Amman est sans doute un des meilleurs de la chaîne.
Pros:

L'hôtel est moderne, bien décoré, la cour intérieure avec la piscine et la terrasse avec les restaurants sont très agréables, et loin du bruit.
L'emplacement de l'hôtel permet de visiter à pied le centre-ville d'Amman et ses principaux points d'intérêt.
Le Club est servi par un personnel de grande qualité, et l'endroit est parfait pour se détendre, avec une vue panoramique sur la ville

A truly disappointing stay that fell far below the standards of a five-star hotel.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at the InterContinental Jordan. Having stayed at this hotel for over seven years, I never expected the standards to decline to this extent. Unfortunately, this will be our last visit.

The problems started before we even checked in. The hotel attempted to charge us a different price from the one we had booked, claiming it was due to currency changes. Instead of honoring the confirmed booking price or offering a reasonable solution, we were told to go exchange our money elsewhere to avoid paying more. That is not something guests should have to deal with, especially at a five-star hotel.

The suite itself was outdated and in need of renovation. To make matters worse, the extra bed that was brought to our room was visibly ripped and worn out. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel that advertises itself as a luxury property.

The worst part of our stay was the housekeeping. One day, we requested that our room be cleaned while we were out. When we returned in the evening, the room had been left in complete disarray. Even more concerning, the bathroom drain covers had been left open, allowing flying insects to come up through the drains and into the room. This was both unpleasant and unhygienic.

We immediately raised these issues with the hotel staff, who apologized and promised they would resolve everything. Nothing was done. We complained again, and once again, no action was taken. The explanation we received was that the hotel was "overly booked." With all due respect, that is not the guest's problem. We made our reservation almost a month before our check-in date, and staffing or occupancy issues should never come at the expense of basic service and cleanliness.

Overall, this was a deeply disappointing experience. The service, housekeeping, room condition, and lack of accountability fell far below the standards expected from a five-star hotel. It is genuinely sad to see how much this hotel has...
