InterContinental Miami by IHG

I loved the hotel and I will be back. The location is amazing. you are right in the middle of everything downtown Miami has to offer. you can walk everywhere. Hotel is very nice. Restaurant was great. Pool is welcoming. Staff was great.

I know my review may not mean much-
The people with the personalities of Ashley at the front desk that I come across are what I believe are the cornerstones of hospitalities leisure travels.
The staff at this hotel are top tier, and it feels like an international hotel as soon as you walk into the front door. Top tier choice- convenience of location.

Great location and clean rooms

We had Ana along time at the Intercontinental this past weekend. We treated like royalty as we celebrated our daughter 21st birthday. From the Bellman in the entrance of the hotel, to the concierge Eduardo Rosello who went out of his way to ad extra treats for my daughter in our room. Always with a huge smile and very attentive to our needs. The staff in the 29th floor was phenomenal as well. Overall an amazing weekend and can’t wait to plan our next trip!!

The Intercontinental is always my first choice in Miami. The location is fantastic as you are close to shops at Brickell, Bayside Marketplace and the Design District. There are also many fantastic restaurants in the area. Yes, it is pricey but a lot of fun to splurge. As for the hotel, the service is superb and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Enjoy your stay.

Mayling rocks. Amazing professional and kind demeanor. A fantastic representative of the brand and company. You’re lucky to have her. But IHG is the best . Ashly is a great wingman.

Excellent room snd hotel. Bonus was to check in early

The lounge space is wonderful. It is quiet during the day to get work done & the staff is incredibly, specifically Jackie. She was so helpful and was so attentive. They offer snacks from 2-4 and then a light dinner buffet 5-7. Very well done!

I'm a frequent visitor to the Intercontinental and every time I visit I have a fantastic time. The place is immaculate, smells amazing, and located on one of the most popular places in Miami.

The staff are always so welcoming. Folks like Clint and Gabby at Toro Toro go out of their way to make you feel relaxed, mix up some amazing drinks. The bellmen and valets are also kind and patient. The housekeepers are always so friendly and non intrusive. Steph at Bluewater is attentive and always accommodating, always checking in to see if your needs are met and I can't forget about the staff at Starbucks as well. To be greeted with a smile and fresh coffee is the best way to start your day!! These folks all work hard, and their care and hospitality shines through despite it being thankless at times. You are the reason why this place is so beautiful. I am thankful to you all.

I don't stay anywhere else when I'm on the bay side. And if you've read this far, you shouldn't either. You'll get a comfortable bed, with a nice view no matter what side of the building you're on and a professional and friendly staff that will go out of their way to make sure you have a good time!

Fabulous hotel - Amazing view! Comfortable rooms! Incredible breakfast! Delightful club lounge! Terrific staff! Alberto Ferrer in the club lounge was particularly kind and attentive and helped out with my plans to support Spain in beating Argentina at the World Cup final. Vamos España. (I’m English)

They RE-CHARGED us for a breakfast buffet WE DIDN’T HAVE. We flew into Miami on 7/11/26 for a World Cup match and checked out the next morning.  We had no complaints about the stay until checkout. The checkout agent said we had a breakfast buffet charge that day, which we did not eat. I assured her all the other charges were correct but neither my wife nor I had breakfast. In fact, we had brunch reservations at Joe’s Stone Crab right after we checked out (so why would we eat a buffet before?). The agent took off the breakfast charge but did remark in a very suspicious and snarky manner, “oh, that is interesting…” which was offensive but I didn’t say anything in reply. I’ve spent a significant chunk of my life in hotels but never had that kind of suspicion directed at me.

The real problem started when I found out a couple of days later that the hotel had RE-CHARGED us for the breakfast we never had, the day after we checked out. Of course, I contacted IHG support and disputed the charge again. The management of the hotel replied and said the charge was for the breakfast buffett and that was all.  Basically, the hotel is calling us liars/criminals. I contacted IHG again and asked to have them check the security camera footage. We never even went to the buffet restaurant during our one-night stay. Also, I offered to show them the credit card receipt for brunch at Joe’s Stone Crab which we had immediately after checkout. They said they would respond in 24 hours but never been.

My wife once had a similar experience at a Marriott where someone accidentally / intentionally charged her room for a breakfast she never had. After a quick investigation, they took off the charge, simple as that. 

I had been a Hyatt Globalist for a while and have stayed at many hotels in my life and this is the only time I’ve been accused of lying. Their lack of process or controls to ensure that innocent guests don’t get incorrectly charged for food/service they never had is very unsettling. I certainly will not stay at this property again and will have serious reservations about staying at any IHG property in the future.
