The service at The Biltmore Mayfair fell well below what I would expect from a five-star hotel.

The concierge was unable to assist with a basic request, such as obtaining a magazine or newspaper, explaining that they were “not insured” to do so. This was a disappointing response to something so straightforward.

The checkout experience was even more frustrating. My suitcase broke during checkout, and I had to go out to purchase a replacement. Instead of accommodating this unexpected situation, the hotel charged me extra for just one additional hour.

Having extended my stay and paid for larger rooms, I was particularly disappointed by the lack of flexibility and consideration. I was not asking for anything extravagant—just some practical assistance and understanding.

A five-star experience should include attentive service and thoughtful handling of unexpected problems. Unfortunately, that was missing during my stay.
