Top lokacija. Čudovit pogled, zelo lep hotel. Zelo lepa, prostorna soba. Pospravljanje sobe - TOP!
Hiter, profesionalen valet parking. Zelo prijazno osebje - zajtrk - notranji del. Dober servis beach club.
Zajtrk - postrežba na vrtu, nas ni nihče upošteval 20 minut. Sprejem na recepciji - hladen, zadržan. Bazen - premajhen in ves čas zaseden z otroci - plavanje ni bilo mogoče. Caffe v lobiju - čakali na postrežbo 20 minut. Beachclub - premalo intime med ležalniki. Afričani so nam ponujali oblačila - kar je bilo zelo neprijetno. V beachclubu ni toalete in garderobe za ženske, kar je bilo izredno neprijetno, saj smo čakali z moškimi pred kabinami in toaletami - Največja pomankljivost! Concierge - smo morali nabirati drobiž za eno znamko, ker smo želeli poslati razglednico in plačilo ni bilo mogoče s kartico - smo že opravili check out. To bi lahko sprejeli tudi na recepciji. Nas je gospa hladno poslala do concierg-a, kjer smo se pogajali, kako bomo plačali za 1 znamko.
Konumu güzel
Lokantaları çok iyi
Saat 15 öncesi check in yapma çabaları yok
Fotoğraf çektirmek için dışardan gelenlere izin verilmesi , hotelde gereksiz kalabalık yaratıyor
Absolutely gorgeous. The hotel was very beautiful, clean, we had an upgraded room with sea view that was spacious, with premium amenities and the view was simply breathtaking. There isn’t a single fault that I can find in this hotel. But the most important part was the attitude of the staff, which was a true 5 star. Very nice, attentive, professional, we truly felt well taken care of. All the staff from the receptionist that checked us in, a lovely lady, to the cleaners were very respectful and happy! If you’re going to stay anywhere in the French Riviera, this hotel is simply the best choice. I truly had a great experience and am looking forward to going back.
None
The Carlton without Aida just isn’t the Carlton anymore. It’s like Paris without the Eiffel Tower. She truly is the heart and soul of the place! Walah
We would like to sincerely thank Sebastien from the Valet Team for going the extra mile in making sure our cars were taken care of and handed over properly. He even assisted us in contacting the driver who will pick up the cars and we didnt even ask him for it. He answers very fast, very clear and with complete information so we always didnt have to worry. He even shared photos of cars being handed over to the pick up. It is always good to have a very reliable staff. Thank you so much Sebastien.
We would also like to thank the Guest Relations Team Cathy, Joanna and to all for all the help.
Im staying in the hotel for 2 weeks and im still there..unfortunately when i wanted to have coffee they said its only for hotel guests i told them im a hotel guest and i know many of people in sitting who are not a hotel guests..her answer was sorry but they are the hotel manager friends!!!wow so its better to be a friend of the manager than to be a hotel guest!! I pay 2000 euros per night and i cant have a coffee in the lobby!!
The other thing, they sent a sparking ice tea to the room and the ice was melted so i ask the housekeeper to replace it..another guy came with ice bucket And asked me to pay 10 euros for the ice!!!i told him ill not py and you can have your ice back! It should be complementary..he said by next year it will be free!!!
We had a perfect one week holiday with our extended family spread over 6 rooms. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Food and beverages are excellent from breakfast to lunch and dinner. The fireworks dinner on the pier was an incredible experience. The only improvement would be the terras set up at the beach bar. Seats are not comfortable and inviting. Furthermore for an hotel with this standing and allure they should really cancel the dj's and their load music. We prefer conversation when having an afternoon drink with light background music. When speaking to the manager he told us it was part of the Carlton beach concept. They're are already to many loud (festive) places on the Croisette. Carlton is in a class of its own and does not need to compete with those venues.
All of it
Nothing
The hotel itself is very beautiful but the staff is very inhospitable, especially for a hotel that is priced this high. I felt at every opportunity they overcharge for every little thing. Our room was about $4,400 per night but I felt like the staff treated us as if we did not belong there.
One day, we went to the (extremely over crowded) beach club to enjoy the beach. I asked for two bed, and they immediately told me that it cost €200 each bed and that we would be seated in the back. Once seated, I asked for an extra towel, the attendant quickly told me “it’s €9, is that okay?”
Later on we went to the hotel bar. The door was closed and it was 4:57 pm but there were a few waiters standing at the entrance. My husband asked if they were open and the waiter opened the door for us and told us that they would open at 5:00 pm but that we could come in and sit down anywhere we wanted. We sat down for a minute or two when a different waiter came and told us we had to leave because they were not opened. I looked at my phone and I showed it to him. The time was 4:59 pm. He insisted that we leave. We were not dressed down or behaving in any inappropriate way. My husband and I are in our early 50’s so it was not our age.
On another afternoon we went to the gym to work out. The gym looked great and we were excited. While working out I wanted some water. I saw a refrigerator with some bottled water. I went to open it and it was locked. There was no gym attendant but I’m sure if there were he would have charged me €20! While other hotels at this level usually have bottled water, nuts, fruit and or cold towels infused with aromatherapy this place would even let you have a drink of water.
Later on in the evening I went to the front desk to drop off a postcard for mailing. I gave it to the woman at the desk and she looks at me and said, “It will be €3 for us to put the stamp”
The hotel is enormous and the staff is unfriendly and inhospitable. They are more concerned with nickel and diming the hotel guests than treating them properly. The hotel, although beautiful you will not feel like you are welcomed there. Usually at hotels with this price point you feel like they care about you and appreciate you but not at The Carlton. I highly recommend you look for another hotel.
The pros:
- WONDERFUL concierge who was so helpful making us reservations before the trip
- beautiful property at a great location in Cannes
- the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in
- majority of the staff was friendly and helpful
The cons:
- the reason I had to give this 3 stars was due to our check in experience. Check in time was 3 pm. We arrived at 3:20 and we were told there wasn’t a room available for us and we had to wait. We have never had this happen to us (let alone at a 5 star hotel that we are paying a premium for)
- my husband had a work zoom call he had planned to take in the room and we requested a quiet/ private space for him. They brought us to an open landing at the staircase with no privacy and quite a bit of noise. There was a desk there but he was interrupted midway through his zoom call and he was asked to move.
- nothing was immediately offered to us to compensate for the inconvenience. When I did go back downstairs to ask to speak to a manager, he was wonderful and did offer us complementary drinks and offered for us to check out at 1 pm (instead of 12 pm) which we appreciated. At a 5 star hotel though, this should be a minimum gesture that shouldn’t have required me asking for a manager for.
The service, breakfast, and tea were all outstanding. The view from our room was amazing and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and fresh cherries.
The Carlton is the best 5 star hotel in Cannes. The hotel and beach club staff are very friendly and professional.
