Sofitel stands by its name an brand value! We had a wonderful stay at a lovely riverside location in the heart of Lyon. The entire property is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The staff are very efficient and helpful, all the time. Even though we did not avail most of the facilities and services at the hotel, there were plenty of options for food and drinks if you want. The room was quite spacious, and well appointed. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The location is amazing -- just in between two largest hubs of Lyon -- Perrache and Bellecour -- with a number of very good cafes, bouchons and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walking distance. Overall, you may expect the same world-class service of Sofitel in Lyon at this property. We will definitely book this hotel if we are in Lyon again.
If we nitpick a bit, the bathroom fittings could benefit from a little bit of modernization -- it seemed a little old in terms of the facilities. We would have loved a bit more of toiletries provided in the bathroom -- e.g., hand-soap was missing. However, none of this is significant. It is a really good place to stay in Lyon.

L'espace de la chambre était bien. La localisation de l'hôtel est bonne. L'option de Parking privatif est très bien.
La qualité du repas roomservice laissait à désirer. La douche fonctionnait partiellement. Les fenêtres ne se laissent pas ouvrir.

Mobilier un peu vieillot
Great location, amazing staff, and a beautiful, modern lobby! The suite we stayed in was big and the beds were very comfortable. However, while the main areas of the hotel are modern, the room itself looked quite old and needs renovation. You can't beat the location, though just a short walk to Place Bellecour and the old town.

Le retard de la mise à disposition de la chambre. Chambre qui devait être disponible à 16:00 et que nous avons eu à 17:40. Ceci dit le personnel a été adorable.

The location of the property, close to the centre, shops & attractions. 5 star service by the staff. Valet parking.
Some of the rooms (like the first we were attributed, 429), are very old and not at 5 star level. The lower floors have been renovated and are nicer. The airco was not strong enough to cope with the heatwave (39° C outside) - a portable fan was needed.
