The hotel was near the airport and it was easy to take the subway to the hotel. The staff were also very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I want to give a shout-out to Elliot at the front desk for exceptional customer service and unreasonable hospitality. When I arrived, there wasn't a room immediately available for me despite a reservation and having checked -in online. He was determined to get me into a room and worked with his manager. I had to wait longer than normal, and to make up for the inconvenience, he gave me food vouchers for the restaurant and a couple bottles of water, and told me to let him know if I was unsatisfied with my room. I travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels and haven't had this kind of service.
Been staying here 25 years plus with FedEx and United. Had a small issue at the hotel restaurant, Flights tonight. The night manager, Gilberto, took care of everything.
Comfy room, cold à/c, nice gym, complimentary shuttle ànd quick check in. The M Lounge is very small. The property is large and has a wide layout.

The Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental is a convenient option when you need to stay overnight at IAH, thanks to its underground connection to the terminals via either a train or a short walk. It saves you the time of waiting for shuttle buses and allows you to come and go on your own schedule.
Rooms are clean and functional for an airport stay. There are multiple towers at the hotel, but I stayed in the large round building with an external view (note that some rooms face an internal courtyard area).
As a Bonvoy Ambassador elite member, I had access to the M Club, which provides snacks and beverages. Unlike most M Clubs that offer canned sodas and drinks that you can take back to your room, this location features a soda fountain with small plastic cups.
Staff were welcoming, greeting guests with a warm Texas smile. The restaurant staff were also highly accommodating, helping me get a late-night order placed just before the kitchen closed.

Location, location, location. Also, Patrick was a wonderful employee. I arrived after midnight, exhausted from traveling for over 20 hours. I discovered the door to my room was stuck, but came down personally to open it for me then suggested I might prefer a room in a quieter location. He moved my room and gave me access to the lounge which I really appreciated given the inconvenience. He really gave me a much better impression of the hotel than I otherwise would have had. Water pressure was great and the bedding was very soft.
The property itself feels old. The automatic lock on my door made lock/unlock sounds every 20 minutes all night long which kept me awake. When a neighboring guest turned a sink on, flushed a toilet, or ran the shower next door it was extremely loud in my room. My toilet seat wasn't secured to the toilet; it moved around when I tried to sit on it. Basically the place needs a lot of maintenance. Upon checkout, I was asked if I experienced any issues with my stay, and I let them know about all maintenance needs. At that point, the lady checking me out just said "okay, thanks". I got the impression she wanted me to leave before I asked for reimbursement, which I had no intention of doing. I was just answering her question.
