Good meal at the hotel restaurant.
Toilet did not flush; entry light at door did not work; my cell did not get reception on the ground floor BUT when I went to the desk they were able to get us a room on the 5th floor - problems solved! But should not have had the issues in the first place!
Situation next to the river Charles - quite pleasant when u have a room facing the river.
The staff is working with an old and low bar facility and does its best to accommodate the customers.
Old and in some ways obsolete. The bathrooms / shower fixtures are very poor: there is actually not anywhere you can hang a wet shower towel.
Lights / power points etc are all poor. Breakfast is “tired” - scrambled eggs are like plastic and everyday is exactly the same as the day before.
Everything was very clean. Staff were very polite and friendly.
Ive stayed here before.
Remote control was dirty.
It had a beds.
The representatives lied. There’s no ability to walk or get a shuttle to the green line/T. No you can’t walk lol.. Traffic and construction in the area is horrific. Getting around in a reasonable time is unbearable. Definitely not a kid friendly hotel.
Shop around for a comparable rates for the same hotel. But there are cheap cheaper options. Staff on site were nice.
Riverview balconies on the 2nd floor; friendly front desk staff, clean rooms and reasonable price
Restaurant understaffed when we were there; no room service; gave up after 15-20 minutes in line waiting for a hostess at like 8:30PM.
We liked the fact that is close to Boston and no worries about parking the car
We liked everything
The room was terrific! A lovely room with a terrace (although it was too cold to enjoy it) and a gorgeous view of the water.
The bar area was sort of plain and not comfortable. The outside appearance of the hotel is sort of stark--not what I remembered from prior years. Acoustics between the rooms could be better.
Dated hotel. Only one check in agent with long lines throughout the evening. Understaffed. Boxes littered around the check in and line ups throughout the evening.
This hotel simply does not live up to its Marriott branding. Nickel and diming is present throughout. $20 for parking, Wi-Fi is of course free as a Marriott Elite, but showing the price for a non-elite seems petty and cheap. No complementary bottles of water. This hotel is doing the absolute minimum they need to comply with Marriott minimums and is not doing anything at all to make guests feel valued. Clearly it has terrible ownership and should be removed from the Marriott family.
The check-out agent was not able to handle very simple tasks which prolonged my check out time. Apparently wanting to split incidentals on a separate check from the accommodations was too much, although every Marriott worldwide I've visited does this easily. This is a very poor Marriott location and does not deserve to remain a Marriott property.
I do hope I don't receive the same shallow response from ownership as all the other negative reviews you'll see below. They do not seem to have any interest in improving despite 'sharing comments with leadership'. They are trying to bleed the last few dollars they can from an aging and failing property.
