Enjoyed everything. Location was really great.
Nothing
rooms are a bit outdated, lots of paint chips on the walls and stains in the shower. My first room that I was placed in the toilet did not flush and the bathroom light did not work, I had to go back down to the front desk to ask for a new room,
area
thermostat didn’t work
at all
Excellent location, excellent staff, excellent view.
Awful sleep. AC broken. Black mold in every room they put me in in the S tower. I will never stay here again.
I spent two nights at this hotel. On the plus side: The lobby is beautiful, and the location is perfect. Staff are courteous and responsive. I would NOT recommend this hotel however. The food is grossly overpriced ($45 for a breakfast buffet that is no better, and in some respects worse than a free LaQuinta breakfast). But the real problem is this: BLACK MOLD infesting the whole AC system top to bottom of South tower. My first night in room 1031 seemed OK, but then I woke up with a horrible headache, puffy face, and no air conditioning. In looking at the ac unit, i noticed black mold on the vents, which explains everything. (And explains why so many other people complain of poor sleep in this hotel.) They moved me to another room in the South tower, (28th floor) and a quick glance at the AC vent told me black mold was here too - not as bad as on the 10th floor, but still present. I will try to attach photos. At my insistence they moved me to the North Tower, which seemed OK - just a spot or two. The hotel website is full of negative reviews, and they have turned off the ability to write a review at all. I will be back to downtown Chicago, but will NEVER stay here again
I stayed at this hotel for a conference and my experience was absolutely horrible. I checked in at 1:15am and there was only one person at the desk. It took 30 minutes for me to check in at 1 AM. I got to my room and found it dirty with a broken thermostat. I was put in a noisy room near the road hearing every ambulance and police siren that went by. I am a Platinum Elite Member and for the price of this room my experience was absolutely unacceptable and unbelievable for a Marriott property. Very disappointing.
This was our second stay here. Perfect location on the Magnificent Mile and friendly staff members. Hotel room could use a refresh. the bathroom was very clean but the furniture was worn. Would stay again just for the location. It’s right across from Joe’s, also, a wonderful restaurant.
Ubicación excelente. Habitación standard pero con muy buena vista . Cama excelente .
This place is a DUMP! In major need of a deep clean and renovations. The rooms are beat up, the carpet is dingy and dirty, the bathroom was dirty on arrival. Oh the highlight, I woke up and we had no power on my floor and many other floors because of a “power issue”. I couldn’t dry my hair and I was going to a work conference, I looked horrible. It was out ALL day and I received not one form of apology or compensation for the inconvience. Big nada… Hairdryers are old and crappy. Bathrooms need bleach, lots of mold. The experience was horrible. I won’t be returning
Stayed here for a tradeshow fo 3 nights. Nice corner room. Comfortable bed. Everything in working order in the room. Nice lobby area. Decent lounge for elite members. Excellent gym for a Marriott. Housekeeping was the issue. 2nd day did not show up till after my tradeshow and the 3rd day never showed up. Went to the Elite desk and she sloughed it off that I got no housekeeping and asked if I needed towels. So I had to shelp a bundle of towels to the 41st floor. This would never happen in Europe but this is fbe USA and the Gen Z’s are working the desk.
