Amazing location and amazing staff

I was here for a concert so I'm glad I was within walking distance from my hotel to the event
After several hours of standing, cheering, dancing, and sweating all i really wanted was to enjoy a shower and rest on the comfy bed; however, when I was moving the pillows around I noticed a bug and immediately squished it. Having been completely itched out of my skin I decided to check under the sheets and other pillows and found another bug (of the bed variety). Thankfully I was given another room; however, considering this happened so late at night and I was sore all over, I will admit I was a bit grouchy and upset to have experienced this situation. I was able to have everything cleaned and taken care of which was fantastic and truly thankful but this has raised my concerns going forth with other bookings to check the beds, pillows, and sheets before settling in.

It was a great experience from us were clean. It was quiet. People were very kind. Destiny was kind and a gentleman the day before.

I visited this hotel while I was in San Antonio for a conference. It is a very nice, clean, and safe hotel. This Marriott was close to the Henry Gonzalez Convention Center, which is where my conference was held, the Alamo, and the Riverwalk. I would stay here again.
First, this hotel has always been a favorite in downtown San Antonio. The staff, service and quality are top notch. I wanted to give out a huge shout to David, who was working the bar and food area today. He went above and beyond for us and made our day special for my wife and I. This is what I mean when I say that this is what you get at the Marriott Riverwalk.

valet parking is extreamly expensive with a public lot a block away at a 10th the price.

Service/ small swimming pool/ the reception lady was keeping a count on the water bottles we were getting that felt so cheap
The staff was so incredibly kind to our group of young adults. They were so welcoming and friendly they gave us relief after a long day of traveling. Thank you Mathew, Trevor, Caroline, Genesis. You have been making our stay at the Marriot such a pleasant experience.

The stay was wonderful, but one person really stuck out. Lupe in the concierge lounge made my stay that much more memorable. She was so sweet and helpful and just radiated positivity. They are lucky to have her!
It’s in the middle of my favorite city. And we got to enjoy the celebration for the SPURS winning the Western Conference Championship! We are big fans and loved the location and being able to be right in the middle of it all!
I want to say that Ashunta Taylor that works in guest services is exceptional. I called around 10:00 p.m. to send a cocktail to my wife as a surprise. I didn't know how to do that until Ashunta helped me with it. My wife didn't answer the door. So I had to call Ashunta back to resend it. Her willingness to go above and beyond and help me with the surprise was outstanding. I hope management from the Marriott San Antonio Riverwalk know the have a great one in Ashunta!!! I have never stayed there, but with customer service like that it will be first on my list when I get to San Antonio.
