Excellent location. Staff was very helpful and helpful…host if bar/restaurant went out of his way to accommodate our group!!
view...parking people...hamburger and fries were great.
how to order food.MENU was very small. My $22 salad was 97% greens. Bathroom was very small and nothing in the bath or room to hold on to as you leave the shower.
I do a lot of traveling and this hotel was the worst ever. They checked me out early and said I was the one that checked out. Could not get a response from the manager , none available at night. No help from the front desk. My phone was dropping calls so I had to drive around looking for a hotel at midnight dealing with homeless and lack of parking. Finally had to drive all the way out to the airport and checked in at 3:00 a.m. in the morning, ruining my activity day the next day, I was so exhausted and tired.
We enjoyed a great evening meal while also enjoying exceptional service provided by Paula. The food and drinks were good but the overall restaurant experience was exceptional because Paula consistently demonstrates how much she cares about her customers. Paula is a Superstar.
Our Marriott Waterfront Hotel experience has been very satisfactory. The ninth floor waterfront Juliet balcony gave us a wonderful birdseye view of the Blues Festival July 4th fireworks. The blues vibe could be easily heard through our balcony closed sliding glass door, although muffled. Music ended by 10:30 every night, so restful sleep was possible on a comfortable bed. Our LG TV was satisfactory but for some reason the screen brightness dimmed every evening. Engineering tried to fix it but without great success. Although streaming Netflix was available to login to, no free movies were otherwise available. The room was tidy and clean. Drawer space was somewhat minimal for two. Clothing hanger space was adequate. A few additional features might have garnered a 5-star rating, certainly a 4.5-star one, e.g. glass cups in the bathroom instead of plastic disposable cups, more cabinet drawer space, a working makeup mirror on the bathroom counter.
The front desk personnel were amiable. Their was an unexpected $30/day "resort" fee half of which could be retrieved per 24 hours when applied daily to hotel dining. Dining elsewhere outside the hotel left the full $30 added daily to our stay. All im all we were pleased with our room and are stay.
Location, friendly people , great food and parking.
Nothing to dislike.
Location
Horrible windows veiw. TV broken, ants, cheap and run down
This property has treated my friends and family amazing the last three stays. The Riverview rooms with balcony are truly impressive, offering some of the best views in the city!
The front desk staff here is actually very special. Thank you to Angel and Jess at the front desk. They are kind, caring and go above and beyond to take care of their loyal guests.
We enjoyed dinner at proof reader. Our waitress Paula is always the best! We always request her because her service is next to none. Thank you for taking such great care of us for dinner.
Bien
Nada
Hallways have buckled carpet, not sure why they haven’t stretched it since it’s a safety hazard. Bathroom mirror has had a rough time, decorative lighting around bed had bulbs out that no one seemed to care about. The hotel just needs a little love, more attention to details. Rooms are quiet enough, downtown Portland is deserted so not a lot of street noise, easy to walk to restaurants, wouldn’t recommend eating in the hotel, service is good from staff, if you are looking for an average hotel this is your place. It’s fine.
Staff was very good
Good
The staff the lady that checked us in Jamie or something at the front desk around 5:30 pm on the right side desk can’t remember her name was rude I told her we came for my wife birthday and anniversary and asked if we can get some wine or acknowledgment for checking in and was told that she would do something special for the occasion but didn’t do anything for us that day but got extra bills for upgrades and no discounts for M pass lounge and in the past was greeted more nicer and professionally than her
