Het was fantastisch mede dankzij de service van Karla.
Pros:

De grote schone kamer en de locatie. Loved it!

Cons:

De service tijdens het inchecken van een mannelijke medewerker. De kamer 357 was erg vies, ook vieze muren en bovendien stonk het enorm.

Das Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr professionell.
Die Ausstattung im Zimmer war super und das Frühstück hat eine sehr gute Auswahl.

Cons:

Ich habe ein Zimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten reserviert. Die Einzelbetten waren schmaler als erwartet.
Die Dusche hat leider keine Glascheibe, sondern ist offen, wodurch man etwas Sorge bekam, dass das Wasser auch rausfließen könnte.

Ein schockierendes Erlebnis Gepäckaufbewahrung absolut nicht vertrauenswürdig

Ich war vom 11. bis 14. September 2026 im Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf. Mein Aufenthalt an sich war in Ordnung was allerdings beim Auschecken passiert ist, hat meinen gesamten Eindruck von diesem Hotel überschattet und mich wirklich schockiert.

Nach dem Check-out habe ich meinen Koffer beim Concierge zur Aufbewahrung abgegeben, da ich vor meiner Heimreise noch einmal in die Stadt gehen wollte. Dafür erhielt ich einen entsprechenden Abholzettel, den ich selbstverständlich bei mir behalten habe.

Als ich später zurückkam, musste ich feststellen, dass mein Koffer nicht mehr da war.

Offenbar war ein anderer Mann zur Gepäckaufbewahrung gekommen und hatte einfach behauptet, mein Koffer gehöre ihm. Das Unglaubliche daran Er hatte meinen Abholzettel nicht den hatte schließlich ich noch bei mir und trotzdem wurde ihm mein Koffer ausgehändigt.

Ich kann kaum beschreiben, was in diesem Moment in mir vorging. In diesem Koffer befanden sich zahlreiche persönliche und vor allem sehr wertvolle Gegenstände, unter anderem teure Handtaschen. Für mich war die Vorstellung, dass all diese Sachen plötzlich verschwunden sein könnten, ein absoluter Albtraum.

Wie kann es sein, dass ein Hotel Gepäck entgegennimmt, einen Abholzettel ausgibt und anschließend einen Koffer an eine völlig andere Person herausgibt, ohne dass diese den dazugehörigen Zettel vorzeigen kann? Welchen Sinn hat dieses System dann überhaupt?

Zum Glück stellte sich später heraus, dass es offenbar zu einer Verwechslung gekommen war Der Freund des Mannes hatte dessen eigenen Koffer bereits abgeholt, ohne ihm Bescheid zu sagen. Der Mann kam schließlich nach ungefähr 15–20 Minuten zurück und brachte meinen Koffer wieder. Ich hatte also enormes Glück und habe meine Sachen zurückbekommen.

Aber das ändert für mich nichts an der eigentlichen Sache: Mein Koffer hätte niemals an diese Person herausgegeben werden dürfen.
