Great stay at Renaissance Downtown Austin
Pros:

I enjoyed my stay at Renaissance Downtown Austin. Everyone was very helpful, especially Brenden, one of the valet attendants. Brenden was the first person who greeted me I arrived, and he is the last one I get tot all to on my departure. Truly a great hotel, the staff at the restaurant was great as well. I’ll definitely be back!

overall we enjoyed our stay.
Pros:

location was great. Parking garage was accessible . The rooms were very nicely decorated, my teenage girls loved them. We will definitely be back for a stay.

Cons:

The hotel restroom floor was not cleaned properly. there were hairs on the floor. Should give more attention to this matter.

Pros:

The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. We stayed here as part of my birthday trip and I was delighted when we arrived to our room and there was a slice of birthday cake in there - a special touch.
We loved the pink finishings of the entire property. Pool area was a good place to hang out. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. We scooted to/from 6th street and Rainey street which was a fun addition.

Cons:

We had massive issues with our aircon. Two nights in a row it made an awful screeching sound on and off that kept us awake. On the second night, it didn't stop for over an hour so at 5am we called reception who brought us up a fan. The lack of sleep completely ruined our second day which was disappointing as we could barely stay awake. We had to change rooms for our third night (lucky there was availability).
Also the hotel is right next to the highway, so if you are not in a city facing room, the noise of the traffic will affect you if you are a light sleeper. The hotel is aware of this as they provide earplugs and 'white noise' options on the TV.
The resort fee was also a surprise upon checking in, which added an additional $100 to our 3 night stay.
For the money you are paying, I personally think you would be better off staying in another property in Austin. Unfortunately I wouldn't stay here again.

Quick trip, perfect stay!
Pros:

The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view! Loved the decor, the gym was cool and staff were very kind and sweet!

Pros:

The customer service was excellent, and every employee we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. We loved the fun atmosphere and unique décor throughout the hotel. The food, coffee, and our room were all great. We especially enjoyed spending time at the pool and relaxing outdoors. The location was also perfect, and we were able to walk to many Food trucks and Lady Bird Lake for Kayaking.

Cons:

The parking fee caught us by surprise and felt a bit expensive at $50 per night. However, everything else about our stay was so enjoyable that it made up for it. Since we were able to walk to many places nearby, we didn't end up needing to use our vehicle much.
