absolutely horrible from the room to the shared bathroom where you could not get into how much dirt and bad smell it was. The room was just as dirty and very smelly it was a nightmare experience

This place is very neglected and depressing.

No car park . I didn't realise when I booked , that the property and check in at Portland Street had a customer car park as if I’d have known , I’d have booked to stay there . Also , I learnt a valuable lesson for not informing that I have heart issues and a ground floor would be preferable as I was given a room on the top floor and the stairs with my luggage was a little too much for me !

The beds were not very comfortable, the mattress was foam and sunk straight to the divan base, the duvet didn't fit in the covers, and the pillows are old and lumpy, like they've been through the wash a few times. The facilities in the room were clean and plentiful - microwave, cups, bowls, cutlery etc, however, with no sink big enough in the building to wash up in, we were unable to use them and ended up eating out. When entering the property after being informed to go to another nearby hotel to book in (which is apparently in the small print on the booking confirmation by the way) the unusual smell is quite strong, and emanates from the downstairs bathroom making it feel unclean. As we were only here for 2 nights, we both decided we'd wait 'til we got home for a shower and used wet wipes to clean ourselves instead. You could see that someone comes to clean, but the whole place felt grubby, and more like a hostel with long term lodgers coming and going at all hours of the day and night. The upstairs bathroom smelled like wet dog, and I had to clean pubic hair and urine from the seat before I could use it (other in use, and I was desperate) as the other lodgers didn't appear to clean up after themselves. Also, with this being a converted house, no type of noise reducing insulation has been used and is therefore very loud for footsteps and voices carrying through the property, if you're a light sleeper, this venue is not for you. Although parking is close by, the extra cost really bumps up the stay here.

got sent to three different hotels... one to check in, then to hotel we booked, they failed to tell us they were full and changed our stay to elsehwhere. which was another 20 minute drive out of our way, an hour driving around 3 hotels. only to arrive to rooms smelling of damp and cannabis!

Keycard stopped working one night and calls to reception were not answered, had to go to reception myself

The entire building had a horrendous smell of urine and dampness. There were stains on the carpet and a puddle of some liquid on the bedside table. Due to the smell and concerns about the hygiene, we had to book a new hotel last minute. The pictures don't look anything like the room we got, and it wasn't completely obvious to me that you share a bathroom with all other occupants (however after reading the listing again, it does state this).

The other people left the door open and windo didnot stay open and the bathroom was sheard was not told that
