Great location! Really nice there is a Tiki Bar there, that was a great perk and made it almost feel like a resort. They had breakfast as well which was very reasonably priced and really good food. It’s your typical continental breakfast style food but tasty! I have had much worse breakfast other places for much higher a price so I thought it was great. Beautiful views and a nice outdoor shower right before you get to the indoor pool. Grab a drink and lunch at the Tiki Bar or go inside for a dip in the pool and hot tub! Cute little area to set your beach stuff in while you do those things! We were on the second floor which is where the pool, hot tub and beach access is so I loved staying on that floor! I had a dunne view but could still see the ocean, I think I paid a little more for that but it was a nice view without paying a lot more for oceanfront which would be the higher up floors. They had complimentary coffee in the afternoon/evening and good snacks and meals you could buy at the little store area in the front. Overall thought it was a great hotel with very good amenities!
Nothing that was bad honestly. Every beach hotel needs renovations unless it’s a brand new hotel so of course updating rooms is always on the list almost everywhere you stay and you know OBX’s charm of beachy and low key vibe so you aren’t expecting top tear resort spots! I loved it though, wish it had an outdoor pool too but that would the only thing!
Proximity to the beach and several walkable amenities.
Our room was overpowered with bleach or cleaner. The floor has been destroyed, scratches and sticky. An unknown stain on the sofa. The a/c makes a horrible noise when it is on fan in between cycles. Paint or mold stains in the shower curtain. If we wanted to sleep in, we couldn’t due to the alarm going off in the adjoining room with no one in there. And then maintenance rebuilding a new floor in the room across the hall from us at 8:30 in the morning.
Great location. Easy beach access got the most part.
A lot of rules. No speakers, limited outdoor smoking areas. No right in the middle of a non smoking area. Had no hot water in the room before 7am.
It was on the beach and had a great boardwalk!
Sand everywhere. I get it’s hard on a beach front property with people walking in from the beach all the time, but more outdoor showers and foot leashes near the entrances really could help with that.
location was convenient with pizza and ice cream across the street no too crowded on the beach in front of the hotel
breakfast not being included charge a premium price and charge more for a breakfast that you're already cooking anyways having to walk through the pool area with beach stuff just gets awkward with the key card doors pool was gross and trash all in it no personnel to monitor the degens in the pool we had a group of kids show up and internionally act a fool and make people uncomfortable
Nice room window opening to the beach. Gorgeous sunup and sunset seen from the window.
Hotel on the beach, not to busy. Highly recommended.
Location and pet friendly
I didn’t like how dirty the hotel was. The toilet was dirty, the bathtub was full of hair, and I found cockroaches in the room. The overall cleanliness was unacceptable and very disappointing.
The location to the beach and free parking are pretty much the only good things this hotel had to offer this stay.
Your staff was rude, the room shower was dirty with rust, and the hallway was insanely noisy at all times from 6am to midnight so there was no sleeping in or ease of going to sleep. The room had a shared door with another room and there was no noise canceling insulation between the rooms which made the room not feel private because you could hear all conversations fully. Plus they had a dog that non stop barked for hours when they left the room. When I asked the front desk after several hours of the dog non stop barking to call the owner they were annoyed with me. I didn’t pay $1450 to listen to a dog park all night long while we were trying to relax. Very expensive to not feel comfortable, clean or have privacy.
Great view
The bathtub backed up during showers, the sink had no water pressure
Close to the beach
Loved the location, the clean spacious room, conveniently located near elevator and vending machines. Staff were friendly and helpful. Second year using this location and plan on using again our next trip to the Outer Banks.
I have no complaints.
Access to beach
That we did not get more towels or toilet paper without asking. Conditioner bottle in shower did not work
