Was a very nicely laid out hotel, very clean, staff were a bit quiet though. Room was compact but comfy, it was in the middle of a busy street in London but wasn't too loud. The room was a bit stuffy but it was a warm day when we stayed. We saw the Lion King in the West End and was a 15 minute walk to the hotel (which was great actually) and such an easy walk to it. Also, the breakfast was lovely with lots of choices.
That the staff came across as quiet and a little shy. I feel they could have been a bit more lively and less shy. I could hear a lot of noise and traffic when I opened the window (but that's moreso on the location and the fact it was stuffy in the room).
Great location near the British History Museum. Good value for the price. Nice breakfast too. The room was clean and tidy.
We were staying in the wing of the hotel that was probably built later, as it was stuffy in there and hotter in comparison to the rest of the building. Fortunately, there was a fan in the room that saved us from the heat. However, it is not crucial and might be applied only to the summer period.
Nothing apart from the location
Staff were not helpful especially when i was trying to sort out the room issue and they were not responding to my issue all staff morning and night shift. Even when i raised the complaint to booking dot com still no action has been taken. Booking dot com were not responsive and didn’t attended my problem with the hotel and my message were answered after 2 days (one of my email) and the others not answered. Bad experience with booking dot com.
J ai trouvé que la chambre était trop petite
Room was big and comfortable bed.
Room was very big space unfortunately no bath only shower. It would be nice if had a bath.
Excellent location
60th birthday not acknowledged by staff on xheckin
Very rude night staff
Not enought towels - had to request more
On checkin we were told there would be a fan in the room. No fan and had to ask for one
Tv wasn't working in the room - reported at reception
Very small lift
Decor in room needing updating - many scuffs on the skirting boards and walls
Tap in bathroom loose
I stayed at this hotel for one week and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.
The biggest issue was the overall standard of housekeeping and cleanliness. There was a noticeable amount of dust throughout the room, including on the bedside telephone and desk surfaces. The room did not feel properly cleaned during my stay.
I was also concerned by the way my personal belongings were handled. My pajamas were placed on top of a dusty bedside telephone, another pjs was placed on top of my cosmetics, and an clothes that I had intentionally put in the bin was taken out and placed COVER the food!! These actions showed a lack of care and respect for guests' personal belongings and made me question the housekeeping standards.
In addition, the sound insulation was very poor. I could clearly hear footsteps and movement from the room above, sometimes as late as 2–3 a.m., which significantly affected my sleep quality.
Front house staff were very friendly.
The room was way too hot. Even with the windows open there was no airflow. If the room has no air con I suggest portable fans in the room.
It was very nice and clean and comfortable bed
There was only one double wall socket and it was a bit pricey for the room
Friendly staff and breakfast was ok
No air conditioning in the room, so it was very hot even with a window open and a fan supplied by the hotel. There was also no ceiling light just bedside lamps and as we kept the curtains drawn trying to keep the room cool it made it very dark.
Room was lovely bed was comfortable
Nothing
The hotel allowed us to drop our dags way before check-in time and leave them for a few hours after check-out time allowing us to enjoy London without being weighed down.
The air-conditioning was very welcome with the current high temperatures
The water pressure, but we were on the 6th floor which may have explained that.
And there were some parts of the hotel that looked a little tired/poorly painted.
It felt quite pricey for one night that didn't include breakfast.
