We were looking for a hotel close to the St. Louis zoo and hospitals that was in the “pretty good” category. Something better than the cheap ones that make you feel dirty just walking in, but yet a more reasonable nightly cost. I believe we found that and I would definitely stay here again. The room had newer paint, furnishings and appliances. There were a few things I would put on a maintenance list but no dealbreakers for me. It basically has a full kitchen and the pullout couch is handy for kids to sleep on. The ladies at the front desk were friendly and helpful when we needed more towels and sheets. It was pretty quiet , other than the general traffic rumble we felt we had more privacy than we would have in an interior high rise hotel. The location is great, less than half a mile from the galleria mall and you can reach places like Clayton road, Forest park, and even west county without having to get on the interstate at all. There is a metro station just down at the corner. Of course it is in the city, so take general precautions, but we did not feel unsafe. The hotel does not have breakfast, but you can go to the food court at the mall and pick up a Cinnabon or just bring what you like since there is a stove, microwave and full size fridge. I think there is a grocery store not too far away. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, mostly clean but not perfect hotel in a convenient location this should work for you.
Absolutely terrible service. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
I had a confirmed reservation, and at 9:15pm I received a call stating my room had been cancelled because I did not check in by 4pm. This policy was never communicated during booking. When I arrived, the front desk informed me that the hotel operates on a first‑come, first‑served basis and that reservations do not guarantee a room. I’ve never encountered a hotel that operates this way. This caused unnecessary stress and left us scrambling late at night.
The girl at the front desk was rude, screaming at us, locked us out of the lobby, threatened to call the cops on us. She played the victim really well after she was the one that cancelled our room on us.
I called Corporate & they we're able to get us a reservation 10miles across town at another location. While this is helpful, it's not ideal.
Took over a minute of standing at the door before anyone buzzed me in at checkin. Not a great start.
The room smelled like a restaurant kitchen. Carpet tiles were stapled to the floor. The silverware had food particles on it. There's a fireplace in the room with a sign telling you not to use it. Pictures and shelves had been taken down and left in the front closet. The shower dispensers were removed but the mounting hardware was still on the wall. Everything in the place screams bare minimum, and they can't even clear that bar consistently.
Most of the people staying here seem to be weekly or monthly residents. Weed smell was everywhere. Kids were playing outside unsupervised. This is not a business hotel and it is not a vacation stop. It is transient housing that happens to have a franchise flag on the building.
On checkout day the front desk called my room at 10:45 telling me checkout was at 11. I pointed out the door says 12 and told them I'd get moving. They hung up on me. That tells you everything about the level of professionalism here.
I would not feel safe bringing family or children to this property.
If you are a traveler looking for an actual hotel experience, avoid this chain. The building has bones from when it was something better. Those days are long gone.
I will return
Great
Staff were friendly, but seemed they had something better to do. I mentioned several maintenance items, once at beginning of stay, nothing changed. Then at end, don’t recall if made any notes.
Completely bed bug bitten at end of stay.
This property seems more like a low cost housing project. We were in building 13 and there was literally a person with their car jacked up, tire off and engine parts laying all over the parking lot working on repairing their car. Next to one of the front doors someone had a stolen Target shopping cart. It was far from what we expected when we booked. Luckily we only stayed one night or we would have left. The room was spacious and clean but the facility was run down and seemed like a HUD subsidized property. We won’t be coming back.
The location was nice, out by the mall and plenty of restaurant's. Convenient to get to downtown and other attractions. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable.
That they only had coffee and tea, no breakfast at all. The rooms have patios so whoever was there before us must of left it open, we had a dozen of flies in our room, stuck in one corner.
I don't like the fact that for the second time they have overcharged me. When confronted the manager told me i have to dispute charges to get my refund rather than just refunding my like they did on the first time. Either they don't know financial procedures or they are incompetent. Either way i will never stay there again!
Convinient for travelers (for having a kitchen in the room).
When we checked in your facility(1211) on 8/25/25, we saw linnen collection can with linnens partly touching the ground 10 feet away from the door of the room 1211, which made us uneasy, and it stayed that way throughout that night till we checked out next morning.
Also kitchen light didn't work, soup bowl was only one(I listed 3 people when reserved), also spoon was only one in undesirable condition.
And we felt room was damp(?).
Anyway, I complained about it on 8/27/25 when we checked in your facility, and front staff gave us far better room. So, I thank about it.
If you correct small small matters putting more careful concern, you will have good reviews from guests. Thanks for your asking.
I want to use your facility often for my visitors.
Expecting your professional service.
This hotel has been booked for my organization's major event every year for the last 4 years.
In 2021, it was phenomenal. From the grounds, to the rooms, to the staff.
Sadly, I can not say that about any part of it now.
This year was completely and utterly disgusting.
When I called last month to book my personal room, there was zero mention that the pool was put of order (discovered as i arrived and saw the sign on the gate to what looked like a swamp with furniture strewn about), and no more continental breakfast. I was traveling with two small children, and having both amenities is what the deciding factor was to stay with the group.
Had I been made aware, I would have chosen another place that had these.
No housekeeping. If we wanted fresh linens, we were told to bring the dirty to exchange.
We were placed all the way in the back corner on the second floor. Pulling around to that area, there were unsupervised children, ranging from in diapers to around twelve years of age, throwing landscaping rocks around.
Pulling into my spot for building 16, I parked next to what appeared to be an abandoned vehicle, beat up, and the stench of Marijuana around it.
Trash around the property as we walked to the back and up the stairs.
Upon entering the room, a sign on fireplace stating, "PLEASE DO NOT USE FIREPLACE THANK YOU MANAGEMENT."
Ice maker in freezer broken. No paper ttowels available in kitchen. A full pot coffee maker with no coffee filters. No vacuuming of carpeted floor. Corner wall protectors dangling from corners of walls. Hallway light not working. Bathroom sink with random hairs. Dirty toilet. Shampoo and conditioner dispensers empty, and soap dispenser completely missing. One tiny Shampoo and one tiny conditioner on counter. Only two sets of towels for 3 guests for 3 days. No linens for fold out bed. Had to go to front desk, past the two girls yelling back and forth about inappropriate things with foul language with my kids. Check under that bed in 1623. I guarantee whomever cleans has not touched under there in atleast a year. A cardboard box, dirty sock, a dirty comb, a vape, food crumbs, and something wrapped in paper towel I REFUSED to investigate
Staff that, "Don't know, Supervisor left," is unacceptable. Im supposed to just shrug my shoulders and happily fork over my hard earned money, which over 500 dollars to stay here and these conditions was a complete disgrace and I should be reimbursed. To charge that much and to truly believe that is acceptable at those rates is delusional. I will never stay here again, I am in discussion with our organization to find another hotel that has far better standards when a whole block of people is spending that much money. I will also be contacting Choice Hotels regarding this experience, and reviews will contain photos of everything experienced during this regrettable experience
No clean and doesnt look like it was cleaned..hair everywhere..
I don’t like that my room was cancelled THE DAY OF. And since it was 3rd party, the actual hotel NOR Booking told me it was cancelled. I called for an early check in and then was told my room was cancelled because the double booked. And to make things worse, I was STILL CHARGED for the room. I reached out on June 25th and have YET
to get a refund. It’s now July 10th 😒
En general muy bien, muchas gracias
Convenience to mall, movies, activities.
The website advertises breakfast but there was no breakfast. We had to ask for wash cloths. This is not huge but there was only 1 garbage can in the apartment which was in the kitchen. So any garbage created in the bath/toilet area had to be carried to the kitchen. I ended up moving that can to the bathroom.
Staff was always friendly. Pool was out of commission, room missing several items but staff was helpful to replenish. But location is great for all we wanted to do.
I like it had a barbecue grill. Especially since the pool didn't work on my birthday and the housekeeper didn't vacuum my floors and bring me up new towels and pillow case that i requested after my 3rd day there.
It was clean. There was plenty of space. We arrived at nights, went to bed and in morning left to spend time with family at the seminary. We like it cause its resonable distrance to the seminary.
