The location allows for convenient walks in the center of the city, and close proximity to the sea. There aren't good beaches nearby, but the hotel runs a large pool across the street, with a nice sea view.
I stayed there twice, but did not benefit from a room with a sea view. The city view is rather unattractive, so ask about that when booking or at check-in if it matters to you.
The room was spacious and clean but could have had more attractive and comfortable furniture. Only one cup was provided, and no glasses. The fridge worked and there was a small safe.
Some of the art work in the room and in corridors were colorful and striking.
The breakfast buffet was lavish, and seating outside was also available.
The gym had OK equipment, but the floor mats really needed cleaning.
A fantastic hotel with a team that truly goes the extra mile. The staff are exceptionally friendly throughout, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out.
A special mention must go to Bintou Mbaye from Guest Relations - she personally arranged a room change to a higher floor with beautiful seaside views and a great working table, and walked me through everything herself. That kind of personalized care is rare and truly appreciated.
The hotel also thoughtfully adjusted breakfast timings during Ramadan, a considerate touch that made a real difference for fasting guests. The swimming pool and gym are both excellent-well-maintained, spacious, and a great way to start or end the day.
Pullman Dakar Teranga ticks every box. Highly recommended!
