It is not 5stars hotel
Over all is not good
Valet was friendly and roof top seemed nice.
It is old, dark dingy property. I wasn’t expecting corridors to be this small, elevators small. Lobby had an odor to it. It would be ok for a 3star hotel but didn’t expect this from Viceroy.
Everything is excellent!
Locatie
Gedateerd. Slechte douche.
Gentillesse du personnel, grande chambre pour 4 adultes, salle de sport, piscine, eau et fruits à disposition
Un peu excentré mais on le savait
Nothing
Dingy, dark.
Location
Needs to be cleaned up. Staff somewhat unreliable
The room was lovely and the bed exceptional! I also loved the rooftop pool
Nothing!
Gute Lage, gutes Mittagessen. Grosses Zimmer.
Location was good
It is not 5 star hotel at all. It looks outdated and run down, the AC in the room was old and made a lot of noise
We stayed at the Viceroy Washington DC over the July 4th weekend while visiting the city for the 250th anniversary festivities. There were several things we genuinely liked about the hotel. The location is excellent—situated in a quiet neighborhood while still being within about a 25-minute walk of many major attractions. Check-in was quick and easy, and the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Our room with two queen beds was very clean, and the bathroom was spacious and well designed. I especially appreciated the grab handles in the bathroom, which can be helpful for many guests. The pillows were also surprisingly comfortable, with just the right level of firmness.
Unfortunately, several significant issues negatively impacted our stay. The most serious problem was the air conditioning. During one of the bad heatwave, the AC in our room barely worked, leaving the room hot ,humid, and difficult stay in. Despite efforts by the hotel, the issue was never resolved. The Wi-Fi was also unreliable and barely worked. In the bathroom, water pressure was very weak. While the bathroom itself was nice, the shower floor was quite slippery, and anti-slip mats would be a welcome safety improvement. Another disappointment was housekeeping arriving around 5:00 PM to service the room. This is exactly when many guests are returning to get ready for dinner or evening plans, and we had to wait about 30 minutes before we could use the room.
Overall, while the staff and location were strong positives, the combination of poor air conditioning, unreliable Wi-Fi, weak water pressure, and housekeeping timing issues made the stay feel overpriced for the experience received. I visit Washington, DC several times a year, and unfortunately I would likely choose a different hotel on my next trip.
The hotel and rooms are nice. Locations is great. The pool is awesome.
Even though they have some good amenities they staff is not empowered to fix issues (I believe). The water filters stopped working and didn’t get fixed throughout the week we were there. The staff was very nice and tried to help us with an issue with our AC, but nothing happened. 6 nights without AC in the hottest week of the year. It was unbearable.
