The computer system for the hotel's parent company was down. Apparently this happens at the end of each month due to unreliable IT at the parent company.(Staff were trying to check in all guests with paper printouts, not the usual way.) Because of the hotel's confusion over our reservation, the front desk woke us up and called us at 11:30 p.m. to ask our name. Later that same night, the hotel sent someone to do a very noisy repair in the room next to ours. We called the front desk to ask what was happening, but they had no idea what was happening. The repair person was banging on the wall and air ducts and claimed to be replacing a filter in the room, but why was that necessary in the middle of the night? Finally, downtown Minneapolis is very, very noisy at night, both with people blaring music from cars and the sirens of police and ambulances. For $350/night, including tax and parking, we expected more. Won't go back.
The staff were friendly
The bed linens had a musty smell and the room was not soundproof. You can hear cars all night making it difficult to sleep.
We stayed close to elevators but it was quiet. Our room was very clean. Room service every day.
Everything was GREAT! We would stay again!
The room was very nice, staff were friendly.
The breakfast situation was confusing. We had a credit, but weren't sure where to use it, and the food we ended up getting at the Joliet House was mediocre at best. The room service breakfast we had the next morning was a bit better, but my coffee was cold and everything was overpriced.
Also not a very nice area to stay in.
Close to good restaurants
Downtown during weekend no fun
Parts of the building were closed
We loved our stay at The Marquette. Our room was large, clean, and very well furnished. (The bed was super comfortable.) We drank in the bar while watching a World Cup game, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room housekeeper was super cooperative and also very friendly. The gym is large and well-furnished. It is really a top-flight place to stay.
The hotel's location in the middle of the downtown business district is both a plus and a minus. Access from the airport (by light rail) was easy, and getting to other parts of the city was a breeze. But on the whole, an office district is still rather sterile.
I was there for a game at the Target Center - within easy walking distance. Bed was very comfortable. Tech aspects were great. TV screen big enough.
No place to find food/dining after 10 PM. Returned from the game expecting to find late dining but none was available.
Very cool property, well kept and well-staffed.
Well located hotel, large room that was clean, comfortable and well laid out. Parking garage was easy to get in and out and decent price for downtown.
Gym had a lot of cardio equipment but just dumbbells for weight training. A bench press and pulldown/row machines would be nice. Not much vibe at the hotel. Restaurant was on third floor and only small bar in lobby. But that's okay.
Location is fire. Staff were very friendly and the rooms were quite comfortable and clean. The large wrap around windows allow for a lot of light and are a great touch to the rooms. Also, the hotel was well insulated and quiet, as we didn’t hear anyone else throughout our stay.
The bar closed too early on weekdays.
The little convenience store on site could have a little more variety. Also, shift from Pepsi to coke products, please!
Beautiful spacious room, with large bathroom and coffee making facilities. Convenient parking.
Bar downstairs was nice. .
Staff at reception gave us inaccurate information on checkin about the cost of the parking. This caused confusion and inconvenience the following day.
Very clean!
There was an issue with my reservation not being sent from Booking app to the hotel, but they remedied it quickly. Thank you to Joe and Tatiana behind the desk. Beautiful hotel, spacious rooms, and perfect location for the concert I attended.
The fact that the hotel did not receive the booking from the app. I did have a confirmation number and am a Hilton Rewards Member, so that helped.
