The hotel is lovely. Comfortable in all aspects. Staff is very friendly and helpful

Cons:

The full English breakfast leaves a lot to be desired..not good. The toasters were totally insufficient and the coffee was either too strong or like dishwasher

Comfortable and friendly place but some restaurant staff are not up to the job

Good swimming pool; very friendly and kind front desk staff and bar staff; good rooms

Cons:

The restaurant staff are in need of extra training. A delivery waitress plonking meals down without asking if condiments etc are needed is not ideal; then when we asked our main waitress for the condiments we got a cheery acknowledgment before they move straight on to take orders for *two* tables! That is just not good enough. I spoke firmly but kindly to the staff member who seemed not to understand it was unacceptable to keep a table waiting ten minutes - as food got cold - before checking back in and still not getting the requested condiments. I then spoke to the restaurant manager who appreciated the problem. But at breakfast next morning a staff member did not appreciate that small cereal bowls are not suitable for toast, rolls etc when we asked for more side plates to be brought out - she asked us to use bowls! It’s clear staff who are ignorant of basic restaurant good practice are being hired and not properly briefed on customer care and expectations.

Great hotel and friendly staff
Pros:

Location is great, free parking, great swimming pool and a brilliant breakfast. Beds were so comfy and great shower. The receptionist who checked us in was really friendly. We were given a ground floor room on the swimming pool corridor which was great for using the pool and gym. So handy for taking luggage in with an entrance door leading direct to car park
