A Rockville business and events favorite. The room is big and comfortable (if a bit noisy in the morning -- I used towels to plug the gap below the door) and the bathroom is clean and functional. The staff working at breakfast are a very hardworking and courteous crew.
Nothing. The carpet is a little tired but this hotel gets a lot of traffic through the year and it would be hard to get any floor shampooed and kept clean.
I was well received by the front desk staff member at check-in, a gentleman whom I believe was from West Africa. We exchanged pleasantries about my hometown and the weather as I was being processed. My check-in went smoothly and my room keys worked.
The room was in good order, as there were two bottles of water, as well as tea and coffee near the dispenser on top of the small refrigerator. The fridge was in good working order, and I would later use it to store some leftovers.
The restaurant had limited menu options, but the service was excellent. Though short staffed, I was well served by the woman who simultaneously waited tables and tended the bar. I think she was Ethiopian. She had a regal demeanor, and her service was greatly appreciated.
My room was spacious, and the housekeeping staff stopped by to clean it. They provided fresh towels.
The hotel is near a mall and is a block or so away from the Twinbrook Red Line Metro station, as well as buses from the county transportation system. While having a car is helpful, good public transportation access means that a private vehicle is not a necessity.
The hotel has a restaurant and offers breakfast. However, there are several sit-down restaurants nearby, including a popular diner about three blocks from the hotel. There is a mix of restaurants within walking distance, and additional options can be explored via the Metro or a short drive.
I thought the snack bar prices were outrageous, so I went elsewhere to get snacks. Having a microwave in the room would have been nice, but having it in the lobby near the check-in area made sense and was convenient.

I did not even used the room and I want a full refund because your front desk gave me wrong key/card, I came to the front desk after 11pm due to my busy program at Marriott, she gave me two cards and I quickly went back to Marriott, but when my little sister that I got the room for, tried the key, the door wouldn’t open and when she went back to the front desk for the key to be reactivated, your front desk total refused to give her a new card and they even refused to talk to me on her phone, they did not even try to call me to verify, my sister was so frustrated and my room was never used, I therefore demand full refund of $114 plus the $30 additional charges
Very very bad customer service, they didn’t even call me after blocking my door meant for my little sister
