Unpleasant
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean.

Cons:

On a Saturday afternoon they filled all the plant pots in the whole hotel with manure. It stunk of faeces. People were gagging, holding their noses. We couldn't eat in the restaurant we'd booked.
Had unpleasant exchanges with the front desk staff more than once.
The windows don't open at all in any of the rooms in the hotel it's claustrophobic.
There's a club outside, at 5am everyday even on weekdays, everyone leaves the club shouting, chanting. Myself and all my colleagues woke up at 5 every day.

New rooms but service issues need ironing out
Pros:

Location-wise, it's about a ten-minute walk from Nuevos Ministerios, which has both metro and cercanías connections - handy for the airport. The immediate surroundings are fairly corporate: there's an El Corte Inglés nearby, but otherwise this feels like a hotel aimed at business travellers with offices in the area rather than tourists looking to explore the city.

I chose a room with digital check-in (I like to be away from the elevators) but this apparently doesn't work because they have to check your ID under Spanish law. Why provide the option then? I was allocated a better room (supposedly) but it had a broken air conditioner - it kept turning itself off immediately after being turned on. The hotel was fully booked with no maintenance staff available, so to their credit they did find me an alternative room. The replacement AC worked but reset itself to 22C periodically overnight due to a motion sensor. This didn't affect my sleep, but is worth bearing in mind if you run very hot.

The staff interactions were disappointing. When I raised the AC issue, the move to a new room was handled without any apology and with a distinct air of inconvenience on their part rather than mine. Separately, I was initially told the daily tasting session (a free drink between 6-7pm) wasn't available, only to be grudgingly offered a glass of wine when I questioned why it's still being advertised. At this price point you'd expect both reliable air conditioning and courteous staff.

On the plus side, the small rooftop pool (open seasonally) was a nice touch - just note it closes at 7pm. Rooms are comfortable and seem to be brand new, but are on the small side.

Nice hotel but needs work
Pros:

I liked the eclectic decor and staff although busy were helpful,friendly and funny. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Cons:

Odd smell in the hotel, especially on entry. The hotel doesn’t accept walk in or bookings in person even to extend stay. Very limited food options available, outside the building was an absolute mess and bad use of space near the gym and underneath the pool. Bedroom decor was basically falling apart and cleaners didn’t seem readily available. This is a good location and easy metro availability but not really close to the centre. Everywhere is a metro or taxi ride away.

Uns hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Wir werden es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!
Pros:

Der Pool auf dem Dach und die RooftopBar waren fantastisch! Das Hotel hat eine großzügige Lobby und man fühlt sich gleich wohl.

Cons:

Beim Einchecken mussten wir fast 1 Stunde in der Schlange stehen. Von drei Plätzen waren nur zwei besetzt - da hätte schnell das Personal aufgestockt werden müssen.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein.

Great, but a few tweaks required to become perfect.
Pros:

The hotel itself is great, the facilities are amazing, staff is friendly and the rooms are fabulous, however the check-in experience is awful and hence why I cannot give it 5*.

What is the point in offering digital check-in if we are forced to visit the check-in counter and stand in queues, as a gold member, there is a dedicated queue and it still took 30 minutes to get checked in, the process needs to definitely be improved.
