This hotel is wonderful! The location is right in the middle of everything! The room is comfortable;). We loved the complimentary water bottles and the complimentary evening cocktails! Sam the GM is a wonderful man who makes you feel welcome and comfortable! We can’t wait til our next trip!!
Love the decorations in our room. We asked for 2 extras pillows and bath towels and they were brought up to our room.
Wish the beds were Queen instead of Full, but we made it work. The hair conditioner was empty in room 221,
Great location close to everything. Very cute town. Restaurant onsite but no room service. Rooms are a bit rundown. Door knobs broken, holes in bedding, broken tvs and cabinets. No pool.
Not a lot of amenities.

Sam and his team went above and beyond to make our stay a wonderful family trip! Highly recommend this property. A+ especially for the wonderful staff and service.
This hotel is very special to us, because we spent our wedding night here 45 years ago! We also spent the night here after our 25th anniversary party, which we had at the Mount Vernon Inn. It used to be called the Holiday Inn Old Town when we were here 45 years ago.
This time we were here for a wedding reception. We first had cocktails in the outdoor courtyard for an hour, then went inside to a private room for a delicious dinner and very good service.
The location is absolutely perfect, the rooms are huge, and the hospitality at front at the front desk is first rate. Parking is a little tricky in the underground garage, because the ceilings are low and you were worried you won’t find a parking spot! But we did!
Love, the fact that La Madeleine is literally the next building across the street!
Staff and room size very nice and accommodating
Staff and room size with balcony!
The room was okay, check-in experience was very slow. Reserved parking through SpotHero and showed proof to the front desk clerk. She gave me a card and told me to use it when I left the garage and they would credit me the prepaid parking. When I got home the billing showed that The Alexandrian charged me an additional $40 a night for parking so now I have to call billing etc... Also, I lost a room key, 1 of 2 that we had. I immediately reported this to the desk clerk. She gave me one new key and said I could continue to use the other key. I had to tell her the other key could then be used to enter my room. She finally made me two new keys. I found the front desk clerks to be friendly but poorly trained. Be careful with billing and security if you stay here.
There are lots of little shops, boutiques, as well as well known stores. Plenty of restaurants and small bars all along the prominent King St. and the harbor. So much to walk through and see. A beautiful historic town.
