Good location. Comfortable stay.
Pros:

The room size is good, comfy bed. Has a bath. Coffee machine. Check out is 11 which is great.

Cons:

Food is over priced. My room was noisy from sirens and traffic outside. My room faced the intersection. Also curtains didn’t block out the light.

Loved the stay at Doubletree in Cairns
Pros:

Location and cleanliness were very good. Lovely views from our room.

Cons:

Secure undercover parking wasn't complimentary. We weren't advised of this on arrival so the extra cost was removed when we realised and enquired.

Good pool and room, poor breakfast
Pros:

The king size bed was so comfortable. The staff were also always so smiley and helpful. We were able to store our luggage and lounge by the pool when we arrived before check in. The shower and toiletries were really nice.

Cons:

The rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear noise from the street outside and we had a very loud family next door to us which made sleeping difficult at times.
We were also disappointed by the breakfast. We went for early breakfast (around 6.30am) and the baked beans were stone cold as were the other cooked breakfast items. I would say that if you were to book here, don't add on the hotel breakfast, eat somewhere else.

Great Cairns stay

Great dinner, better service
Pros:

Walked in for dinner with a group of colleagues at the hotel restaurant, The Vine Room Restaurant and Bar. From the moment we walked in, Laura from the restaurant team, made us feel welcome. Showed us to the bar as she reset a table large enough to cater for us. From there, her customer service continued to be outstanding. Made our dinner very enjoyable. Food was great and wine to match.

Fantastic stay at the Doubletree Hilton. Will definitely be going back there to stay.

Breakfast was amazing. Service was great. Had an omelette cooked fresh. Overall staff were very friendly . Food area very clean and a large variety of food to choose.

5 star customer service
Pros:

We called into here fit adhoc dinner. Lovely setting, excellent wine menu and the food was delicious.

What made the experience and deserves a massive shout out is the F&B Supervisor Laura.

From the moment we walked in, to paying our bill, Laura’s customer service was perfection. Attentive, polite and friendly in every aspect. S genuine asset to the company.
