Awesome
Pros:

My experience was very very good. I enjoyed it a lot. The only downside was that our keys stopped working every five minutes like they just wouldn’t workand we keep away from our phones and they just get deactivated but otherwise it was a great trip. A great day I love the rooms and the staff.

Clean and comfortable.
Pros:

The customer service team was very friendly. Customized to each room. When I would call they greeted me by name. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner room service. Each time we returned back from a long tour our room was clean.

Cons:

The gentleman that stood in the hotel greeting guest picked and choose who he greeted. We were all paying customers.

Overrated and sub-par quality
Pros:

I would say this hotel is mediocre at best. The M lounge is just another area to hang out in, nothing to write home about. The rooms are okay but not well kept and I was shown a change of room and I unveiled mattress stains in the pull out couch to the manager. Construction is going on next door and the ac in the rooms make odd noises when cycling through. Not impressed with the overall quality of Marriott I would say JW Marriott are the better call.

Pros:

Location of this place is pretty solid and I enjoyed staying next to the park. People watching at its best and I always stay here when I’m in DC. Atmosphere is safe and the rooms are as expected. Beds can be on the firmer side and noise level was average for a hotel. Cleanliness is as expected of an older hotel. Starbucks is in the lobby and you can walk to solid food options.

Friendly Staff, Perfect Location
Pros:

Washington Marriott at Metro Center delivered exactly what I needed for a busy Fourth of July trip. The location is unbeatable, right off the Metro, walking distance to nearly everything, and surrounded by great food options. My room stayed perfectly cool even on a hot day, and it was quiet, clean, and comfortable enough that getting a solid night’s sleep was effortless.

The standout was the staff. Chelsea at the front desk was phenomenal, and honestly the whole team was incredibly welcoming. This is easily in my top three friendliest hotel staffs I’ve ever encountered. They made the stay feel smooth from start to finish.

I do have one critique: the in‑house restaurant, Spotted Zebra. The food itself wasn’t the issue, the service was slow. I waited far too long to place my order and then again for the check. If you see it even slightly busy, I’d recommend grabbing food elsewhere. It didn’t take away from the hotel experience, but it’s worth noting.

Overall, this is an excellent hotel with great rooms, an unbeatable location, and truly exceptional staff. I’d absolutely stay here again.
