Delray Sands Resort

My experience at Delray Sands was exceptional. From check in to check out, we received warm, genuine and professional service. Dwight and Ricardo in Valet were so welcoming and friendly. Ana at Guest Services greeted us with the warmest welcome and made it known she was there to assist with whatever we needed. The room was spacious and immaculate and our view of the pool and the beach was probably my highlight of the trip. The staff at the Pool Bar were so awesome. Hadassa was our server and she did the entire transaction with a smile. She even had time to interact with my toddler which was so cute. The food was incredible and the drinks were super refreshing. The beach glistened with crystal water and powdery sand. My son had a blast playing in the sand and with the connect four on the beach. Our last day we ordered in room service and I was in heaven. Frantz brought our order and he was so warm and courteous. The breakfast was world class. Not only was the staff friendly, but also the guests! We had so many pleasant conversations with fellow guests and I think that is a testament to the wonderful service they were also receiving. I will definitely be back to Delray Sands and recommending it to everyone I know !

Horrific experience. Never again will I attempt to visit this property. Condescending staff that fails to acknowledge their errors. To many other great choices in the area to have to deal with this type of attitude. DO NOT book any type of important function with them, it will be a memory you’d rather forget!

Perfectly located in Delray Beach, the staff was great, the rooms and property were clean, and it was just steps from the beach.

My family had a great experience at the Delray Sands. The resort, restaurant and location were exactly what we were looking for and the rooms were very clean. Great beach front atmosphere as well. Would recommend.

Come down for a friends/family reunion every August, this is always the place I stay. Love being on the beach and the staff is very friendly!

I am a big fan of the DeRay Beach/ Highland Beach area. This area has everything, except hotels on the sand to stay at.

Enter the DelRay Sands hotel. The name lets you know you are On The Sand. This hotel makes vacationing easy and fun. Leaving your room and you are 15 steps to the pool and hot tub, 25 steps to an inviting beach with chairs, lounges and towels included in the resort fee, and most importantly, 20 steps to the best Happy Hour anywhere, which is part of the highly rated Latitudes restaurant. The rooms are well appointed and well maintained. Location is perfect with a 10 minute drive to downtown DelRay,and 15 minutes to Boca,

We have stayed here 6 times and will keep coming back!

Did get a free night out of it but unacceptable for the price for what your suppose to get make youu feel uncomfortable not going back

Booked an ocean front room for about $750 per night. during our trip our room keys were turned off supposedly because our credit card declined a hotel charge.
The total trip was over $4000. On our last day at the hotel the room keys were once again turned off. No explanation. Just turned off. The hotel staff were extremely rude once our room key was turned off. This was the fourth time we had stayed at this hotel since 2022. Probably spent close to $15,000 total with food for the four trips. Wish we had chosen a different hotel these last few years. We will be choosing an alternate hotel in the future.

The whole place is gross and overpriced. Literally feels like a motel at the beach, overpriced as a resort, its a joke. Brought the attention to management and nobody really seems to care. I'd just skip it.

Review for Delray Sands Resort
I recently stayed at the Delray Sands Resort. The location is fantastic — right on the beach — and the rooms look recently updated, though the style still feels more like a renovated motel. For the price, it’s a bit disappointing.
I booked the beachfront one-bedroom suite with a kitchenette. The view was amazing, and having my own beachfront patio just steps from the sand was a real highlight. However, the bathroom was extremely small (hardly any hooks to hang bathrobes), and the closet space was very limited. The living room wasn’t great for sleeping either — the A/C pump made loud screeching noises that startled me awake throughout the night.
On the positive side, the amenities are quite good, and the onsite restaurant is one of the best in the area. The main issue is timing — between 7:00 and 9:30 a.m. you can access amenities, but after that, it’s difficult to even find a cup of coffee unless you drive somewhere or make it yourself in the room. There’s a small refrigerator, so I’d recommend bringing milk or cream if you don’t like powdered creamer.
If possible, try to avoid using valet parking. The staff is friendly and helpful, but it usually takes a while to get your car — more of a building design issue than their fault.
Overall, the Delray Sands Resort is in a beautiful location with excellent staff and great beachfront access. It’s a nice spot for a quick getaway, but for the price, I’d expect a bit more comfort and convenience.

Delray Sands has an absolutely beautiful location — a quiet stretch of oceanfront in Highland Beach that feels intimate and relaxing. Some parts of our 3-night stay were exceptional, while others were surprisingly disappointing for the price point.

Our first night was in Room #100, which I would consider unacceptable at a premium “partial ocean view” rate. This room should honestly be offered at a deep discount. Thankfully, the team moved us the next day to a proper room, which made a big difference.

Service was a mix — but when it was good, it was truly outstanding. The evening bartender inside (we regret not catching his name) was a gem — funny, charming, knowledgeable about the hotel and OPAL brand, and exactly what you hope for when sitting at a bar. He elevated our evenings. The pool attendant was also incredibly kind and attentive. We tipped daily — not sure if expected, but appreciated the effort, especially since the pool fills up quickly.

There were some inconsistencies. I waited 45 minutes for lunch at the bar (to their credit, they removed both the meal and my prosecco from the bill). The restaurant bathrooms feel tired and could use fresh paint. Small details also varied — one morning my cappuccino was simple; the next it came with a crystal sugar stick and biscotti, which completely elevated the experience. Those touches matter.

We appreciated the daily text check-ins asking how our stay was going — thoughtful and not intrusive. However, when I responded requesting a late checkout, I was told to ask at the desk. The next morning I was told, “We don’t do late checkouts,” and was offered 11:30 instead of 11. It was an awkward interaction, especially after being prompted to ask via text.

Overall, this is an amazing property with incredible staff and enormous potential. With a bit more polish and consistency — particularly given OPAL Collection standards and the premium pricing — it could truly shine.

Tired ex Holiday Inn. Mediocre experience at best. I think for $1000+ a night, rooms should be clean and furnishings should be updated. It felt rundown and dirty. Stained sheets, dirty nightstands and hair pile on bathroom floor. No central AC just loud units in each room. Constant noise from parking lot outside. Our view was nice though.
Latitudes restaurant food was good but initial service poor. A member of their staff, Franz, slammed down our coffee cups because we sat down without hostess (who was on phone for awhile) after she told us to go on and be seated.
They have a monopoly on beachfront location otherwise nothing to compliment.

Delray Sands Resort was extremely understanding of my situation and provided the upmost care. The manager did not question my integrity and made a very kind exception. When I am able to come back, I will be booking with this resort again. Highly recommend.

Beautifully updated resort, great and friendly service, excellent food, terrific location on a beautiful and uncrowded beach. Very expensive.

I just arrived. There are ants in the room and the bedsheets are stained. I called the front desk and they are saying maintenance can't get to it today.

I won't stay here again and recommend you don't either.

Excellent location, great staff, the resort is a nice size, is not too crowded. Facilities are great.
