Clean and cozy. The checkin process was great. I received a text to checkin on me due to a late check which was nice. Staff was friendly and the room was clean
No service of any kind! No valet! No room service! No customer service! No housekeeping! No one answers the phone. Could only get through to the restaurant who said they would ask the front desk to call us.. no one did! And no drawers anywhere! And we had a deluxe room! Poor water pressure from all faucets. Had a reservation for our return leg to Seattle. We cancelled.
Very nice boutique feel. Excellent service and property is well kept. I would definitely stay again.
primo location to everything. the hotel is luxurious with great views. it was very memorable and i loved my stay.
Location is great. You can walk to all the major to the tourist spots from here. The rooms themselves are pretty small. The biggest downside is that there is absolutely no insulation in between the walls. And so you can hear everyone’s conversation next-door. The First Night. I had to listen to the couple next-door. Have sex and everyone’s conversation in the hallway. I’m usually not a light sleeper and have no issues. Falling asleep but the loud noise. Every time people open their doors and had conversations outside. My door was extremely distracting and prevented me from getting good sleep. The bed and bathroom was cleaned out every day, which I really appreciated. There was fresh tiles weeding every single day, which I also appreciated. The parking range is very high and suggest people park in the next-door parking structure, or use advance reservation applications on their phone to reserve parking. The front desk staff was pretty easy. And nice when I checked in and checked out. No complaints there. The elevator is pretty small and looks like those old vintage elevators that had a attendance. Aesthetically the hotel is cute, but I don’t know that I would stay there again because of the noise issue.
I traveled for a weeklong getaway with my fiancé, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Concierge was attentive and responsive. The room was very clean and housekeeping was on point every day. The hotel restaurant, Rider, was a welcome retreat from all of the other restaurants in the area when we didn’t feel like making the effort to get out. The food was good and the service was attentive. Overall ambience of the hotel lobby was energetic and spacious. I utilize the fitness room two mornings and had plenty of space and availability. Equipment was in good repair. The only real complaint I have with the state is that the small in room bathrooms do not offer much for privacy or sound dimming and the light switches in the particular suite we had were located in the greater hotel room so you could not control the light from inside the bathroom. Overall, I would recommend the Theodore if you are looking for a good centrally located. Stay in Seattle. I would go back.
Excellent location good value good services
Overall great place to stay…
Our stay was great, the room was immaculate and very comfortable.
Fantastic staff and Hotel… great location as well. We will be back.
A wonderful location great service, clean rooms
The only plus point has been the location m.
Unfortunately, my stay at the hotel was quite disappointing, particularly given the level of service and experience I expected from an upscale property.
1. Incorrect room despite booking a king room
When I checked in, I was initially given one of the smallest queen rooms, even though my reservation was clearly for a king room. I had to contact the hotel and explain that my booking was for a king room.
What was particularly frustrating was that I received different explanations for the issue. Initially, I was told that the hotel was fully booked and that the rooms had been shuffled. Later, I was told that Booking.com had sent the hotel the wrong room description and that their system showed the reservation as a queen room.
Regardless of the reason, resolving this issue took a significant amount of my time. I had to wait and repeatedly explain the situation before I was finally given a better room. The only positive aspect was that the hotel eventually provided a better room, but this came after I had already lost a substantial portion of my stay dealing with the problem.
2. Difficult and frustrating housekeeping experience
Because I was busy attending an event, I specifically requested that housekeeping clean my room while I was present. However, I was told that the hotel's policy requires guests to leave the room before a full cleaning can be performed.
I understand that hotels may have security or housekeeping policies, but the process became unnecessarily difficult when I simply requested basic services such as having the trash picked up and receiving fresh towels.
After making multiple requests, the housekeeping manager eventually came to my room. Even then, she seemed very hesitant to provide additional towels. I explained that I was staying for six days and did not have time to repeatedly contact housekeeping for basic necessities.
Beautiful hotel, great staff in hotel, bar and coffee shop.
Enjoyed our stay here pre-cruise! Would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is beautiful in downtown Seattle within walking distance of many restaurants and Pikes Place Market. Excellent service .
Great service and clean well-appointed room. The room was small but typical of a city hotel and arranged to maximize the space.
It was an exceptional experience from check-in. Each staff member was gracious and accommodating. The staff member, Kaycee(?) was delightful, stored our luggage and texted us when our room was ready. Edward greeted us in Rider and than checked us out upon departure. His warmth was genuine with a gorgeous smile. Assisted us with our luggage and coordinated our transfer to our cruise ship, Star Princess. The property is small and intimate, rich with history. Will happily stay there again.Fsbulo
Bathroom very small
We were very impressed with the Theodore all together and would definitely stay there again if we were in Seattle again!
The only issue was the layout of the bathroom, the placement of the light switch was outside of the bathroom and the seal on the shower door was not the best, so water got all over the floor.
Relaxing and allowed me to rest well before the work day
What a lovely experience -- from easy check-in, to the nice upgrade to a suite (booked through AMEX), to the clean and efficient gym. The hotel is stylish and sophisticated, but not pretentious or precious. Excellent location walkable to Pike Place Market and retail options galore.
