Pros:

Breakfast was a bit slow , prefer a buffet breakfast where you can choose and be quicker.

great hotel! take a roon that is on high floor or not facing the river
Pros:

A beautiful hotel, the nicest staff possible, spacious great room, great bed, nearby private parking (for extra payment) and the perfect location possible

Cons:

I booked the river-facing room, which was a mistake, because we got a room on the first floor, and between the hotel and the river lies a main street. Despite the double glazing, we could hear the cars below our room and people walking in the street. We loved the hotel, and it did not ruin our perfect stay in Bilbao, but I recommend taking a higher floor and not facing the river/street

Great hotel, excellent location
Pros:

Great location near the old town, easy to walk to restaurants, bars and shops. Also not a far walk to Guggenheim. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was big. There is also a gym at the hotel which is well appointed. The barman (I think his name was Pepe) was super friendly, we enjoyed his service very much!

Cons:

the gym had a funny musty smell, perhaps they can do something about it?

Fabulous spot for touring Bilbao.
Pros:

Hotel Tayko is a beautiful, industrial-type hotel just on the river. We were minutes from the fabulous old town with all the beautiful sites and wonderful restaurants. .Hotel staff were simply lovely and gave us a good orientation to the city and the hotel. The room was very spacious and well appointed, the bathroom very clean and comfortable, and the welcome drink was an extra bonus. We were 20 minutes from the Bilbao Guggenheim and just around the corner from the start of most walking tours. An added bonus - a wonderful barber and very serviceable self service laundromat within 3 minutes. Airport was only 20 minutes away for our sad departure from Bilbao.

Cons:

I can't think of a single thing that could have improved our stay.

Great location
Pros:

In the old center. Near lot of restaurants. 20 min walk to Guggenheim. Parking from the hotel just opposite of the river downwards (difficult to find and you can’t park in front of hotel to ask). Breakfast is awesome. Modern en artistic.

Cons:

Small room. Seating on 1st floor not so cosy and not enough light to read. On 7th floor seating is better. Noisy streetsounds.

A perfect rest day on our Camino del Norte. We left refreshed an rejuvenated for the next leg of our journey.
Pros:

A well located yet peaceful oasis on the edge of lively old town. The rooms are comfortable and well designed and the staff friendly and helpful. A short stroll to the Guggenheim.

Lo recomiendo
Pros:

El personal súper amable, tanto en recepción como en el restaurante….. el hotel precioso, la pieza cómoda, de buen tamaño….. precioso el edificio

Cons:

Todo estuvo ok… solo el servicio de lavado y planchado es deficiente…no quedé conforme, la ropa muy mal planchada, más bien arrugada
