Nice area
Traffic
The room smelled very bad, room service came really late in the day, there was bread crumbs in the room, smoke detector was chirping but no one knew how to fix it
Breakfast is very good.
The shower does not work well. Since it’s near AC room, it’s noisy the whole night.
It was great
No complaints
It's okay. Staff was good.
No shower curtain when we checked in. Did not receive one until the next morning. I couldn't believe that the breakfast wasn't included. Booking.com should post that with the rates
There was mold everywhere in the room and the bathroom. The sheets and covers were dirty, stained, smelly, and ripped — the stains looked like they were from some kind of fluid. The AC was so bad it would either blast full power or switch to fan-only, with no in-between. The carpets, both in the room and throughout the hotel, reeked of humidity and mold.
The pool is inside the hotel’s main building, and even though it’s an indoor pool, you could clearly smell the chlorine and body odor mixed into the water.
On top of all this, there’s a hidden charge that never showed up on Booking.com: an additional $50 per day as a “security deposit.” For a 4-day stay, that’s another $200 you’re not told about and have no visibility into. They claim it’s refundable, but I haven’t received anything back yet. In total, I spent around $700, and I truly regret ever booking this place.
This whole experience was a nightmare that nearly cost us our health. I am submitting my emergency room discharge papers along with a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to take this further. Thank you to the doctors at the Skokie emergency department who treated us.
Everything and i listed it above
This Holiday Inn is a dumpster fire. It is literally falling apart and the Pakistani owners are too cheap or greedy to do anything about it. Consider that over 4 days at this hotel:
- The hot water for the entire hotel went out.
- The Power for the entire hotel went out.
- The air conditioning went out.
Furthermore the front door to our room was stuck shut. We had to kick it open to get in. It would’ve been a death trap in a fire. Management sent someone to fix it but they could not so they left it as is.
The Pakistani family that runs this place clearly doesn’t care. They are bleeding it for profit.
This place is a complete hole. Avoid at all costs.
The pool and resto
When the door card doesnt work, and its far from the frontdesk.
And, the sink is clogged.
Staff very knowledgeable and friendly.
Bed uncomfortable, hot water not working.
By far my worst Holiday Inn experience. Cockroaches, leftover food in the room, a dollop of that brown/oily/smelly food on the furniture in the room, no hot water in the morning, garbage in the halls, loud repairs in the next room, dilapidated fixtures and furniture, and zero sympathy for the trouble. They want to extract the value from the land and Holiday Inn brand at your expense and horror. I called to complain multiple times, because no one was at the check out desk. No answer.
Cleaned
The staff
I enjoyed the location. There were several places to eat in walking distance to hotel. Bar Louie was delicious and convenient.
Our room's air wasn't working and after being told that they were working on it, I had to return to the front desk because it had not been fixed. They finally changed my room
