Perfect location., easy parking. Would stay again.

Didnt take breakdast. Rception staff friendly. Huge room, comfortable bed. A good shower AND a BATH.

Pros:

Bar and restaurant areas were very nice and the staff were great

Cons:

The room (4) family room. Was in need of refurbishment, windows were rotten, and the bathroom was very tatty.
The room was very hot so we couldn't sleep much, We appreciated that we stayed in the current hot spell, but there wasn't even a fan in the room ? We did ask reception for a fan and was told they had none! Pub carpark, rubbish everywhere. In

Very disappointed, would not return, or rate this as a 4 star hotel.

Waited over 5 mins in restaurant/reception before anyone acknowledged us, took an age to then be booked in.

Room was up 2 steep flights of stairs, in an attic. Two small windows which had restricted opening, one was about 0.3 cm! Extremely hot weather, so very uncomfortable, the fan provided wasn’t adequate. Felt very claustrophobic. No where to place or hang clothes. TV was very small, and could not be seen from bed.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Perfect location for visiting family in Somerton and exploring
Pros:

Food was generally of a good standard, and very fair choice on the menu.
Dining area was spacious and nicely decorated.
Helpfulness and friendliness of staff was excellent.
The beds in the room were very comfortable.

Cons:

Main issue was lack of ventilation in the family room. 3 of the 4 sash windows didn't open and 4th had the regulation safety cable, so only opened 3". There was no fan in the room, which was like a sauna, and no air conditioning in the room. However, staff were helpful in providing a fan from another room. Just unfortunate there was a heatwave during our stay!
Traffic noise was an issue as we had window open at night.....but this was not unexpected given the location.
An extra chair in the family room would have useful - there was only one, and the sofa was used as a bed.
