We had a pleasant stay overall. The best part of the hotel was definitely the very friendly and helpful staff — everyone was kind and always trying to assist us.
The rooms were spacious, which we appreciated, but they are clearly a bit outdated. Unfortunately, our room had a very humid and musty smell. Interestingly, the room of our parents-in-law did not have this issue, so it may depend on the specific room.
Breakfast was okay, but it is heavily focused on Indian guests and cuisine. If you expect a typical continental breakfast, you might be disappointed. However, with a bit of searching, you can still find enough options to start the day well.

I made booking using Booking.com and paid whole amount using booking.com. My money was credited to booking.com including markup charges and taxes. But when I reached hotel, they said they haven't received any money and did not accept booking.com statement.
Also booking.com said they haven't taken money and did not confirm payment. Ultimately, I had to pay from my other cards with higher rates. On next day, I could see booking.com had received money and then they credited it back to me for which I had to pay additional markup charges plus taxes. :( They did not even ask which repayment method to be used.
This booking.com booking made me pay and waste my money for no reason. I had to pay 10,000 Rupees additional from my pocket without getting any benefit of making advance payment. The stress, embracement, fear was additional bonus with it.
No body helps you! Booking.com as well as Hotel. Customers like Us need to pay 10K rupees from pocket for no reason.
The staff at the front desk especially a fat guy with glasses was very un profesional very disrespectful to the customers, i love the brand Holiday inn and have used all around the world but this was the first time had a bad experience with the staff at the front desk and that particular person at the front desk, i don't know his name he was a big fat guy with glasses very bag maners towards the customers and 2 ladies in the afternoon because of that fat person bad influence, such employees should not represent Holiday inn as a great brand period!
Great location, short walk to Sommerset MRT, and loads of shopping and dining options nearby. Clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and professional staff. Excellent view out of the window from the 5th floor.

Amazingly friendly staff. The day we arrived very late, the reception staff was extremely helpful. Also, when we got to the room we realized that we only had towels for two people. However, without us having to ask they brought the missing things for the four of us (we were staying there with our kids). They anticipated our needs before we even knew it.
We would especially like to highlight the cleaning personnell: one day we forgot to take out the "d9 not disturb" sign, came back in the afternoon and only then put out the sign "please clean". This was done within 30 minutes.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was great but very busy. Location was very convenient as it was close to lots of eateries and grocery stores. They provided complimentary water.
The beds are too small for 2 adults. My husband and I had to sleep separately and share a bed with our young children just so we could fit 4 in the room i.e I shared a bed with my young child and my husband shared the other bed with other young child. They also should not allow young children in the buffet unattended. I saw many children touch and play with the food, which is extremely unhygienic.
