Comfort Inn & Suites Pittsburgh Fox Chapel

Dirty Green mold on all windows at swimming pool. Garbage in stairwells. Hallways not swept. No curb appeal looked deserted. Wonder if Comfort Inn knows what their name is behind.

To start with, this property has no signage anywhere on the outside of the building indicating that it is a Comfort Inn, let alone a hotel. Once inside, the lobby has a very bad smell, similar to smoke and feces. The hallways and stairwells smell the same. The entire facility is very hot inside. We got into our room and the AC was already on full blast, on the lowest possible temperature but it was not putting out any cold air throughout the room. The bed was very uncomfortable. The heavy curtains were broken and falling down and the sheer curtains had what looked like blood smeared on them. In the bathroom, the toilet is very low to the ground and there was a filthy wash cloth hanging from the showerhead from a previous guest(?). It was disgusting. I called the front desk to ask what options we had for a refund or at least a different room because it was clear we would not be staying in this one. I was cut off and yelled at “just wait! Just wait! You can talk to my boss, he’s coming. Wait..” and then the line went busy. No one ever came back to the phone so I hung up, thinking maybe they were coming up to the room. No one ever came. We took our things to the car and went down to the lobby where multiple people were waiting and asked if we were checking in, I tried explaining that we needed to leave and was once again cut off and told to wait.. a different employee came over and asked if I was checking in, I said no and tried explaining the situation again. I was cut off a third time and told “I’m changing your room! I’m changing your room!” At this point I was beyond frustrated with the entire experience. I asked for a refund and said I would not be staying there. I was told no one could give me a refund and to call and talk to the boss at 9am the next day. I cancelled through booking.com instead. I will never go back to this place and very strongly urge anyone considering booking here to find somewhere else.

This property is absolutely filthy and I would never recommend anyone stay there. The hallways don't look like they are ever vacuumed. There is just too much to list i don't know how this property would meet even the lowest standard of having the Comforrt Inn name on it. I should have read the reviews instead of trusting the name Comfort inn. I honestly don't know how this place can even pass a health inspection to continue to operate. Maybe they don't do health inspections there.

The cleanliness of the over property was awful!!!

It had a smell the stairwells were the worse. No towels at the pool, it had a place for them but they weren’t there. All the equipment in the gym didn’t work .

there was raw sewerage coming from the food / bar area - property needs alot of rehabiliation - the desk personnel couldn't speak or understand english - were not really rude but could not interpret my issues - would not recommend to work associates or personal friends2

No signage at all. Very suspect that it is actually a Comfort Inn. Definitely not worth $130. Reasonably clean. Shabby, weirdly shaped room with adjoining doors on both sides. No lighting near the mirror. Bathtub was very slippery. No hooks or anything to hang stuff in the bathroom. Bed was not a queen size. It was a double with a bumpy mattress. Air conditioning barely worked. Fridge was unplugged and I had things that needed to go in it. (I hope they stayed cool enough by the time it cooled down…) Breakfast was awful— greasy sausage, dry potatoes that had clearly been frozen, only white bread and a couple plain white bagels.

Check in was at 3 - we got there at 1 - wanted to change for a funeral and were told they had no rooms available for check in. I find that hard to believe!!

We booked and paid for a double room with two separate beds. However, upon arrival, we were allocated a room with only a single bed, without any prior notification or consent.

When we contacted the property regarding this issue, we were informed at approximately 2:00 AM that we should cancel the reservation instead of being provided with the room type that was booked and paid for. This caused significant inconvenience, especially at such a late hour.

We request that you investigate this matter with the property owner and arrange a refund for the additional amount charged for the double-bed room, as the booked accommodation was not provided.

We would appreciate a prompt resolution and confirmation of the refund process.

Bathroom was disgusting

Light didn't work, woman didn't have customer service at all, the room wasn't what I expected at all. The bar maid didn't know what she was serving at all, a guy in the hotel had the police after him and he stole a master key for all the rooms. How safe would you feel.
